Seabourn Wins!!

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Seabourn Ovation

We’ve spent the last year “comparing” luxury cruise lines, sailing in the Retreat on Celebrity several times (including the maiden voyage of the new Ascent) and testing out Regent’s brand new Seven Seas Grandeur . . . While we enjoyed them all, we believe our 2 voyages on Seabourn Ovation to be significantly better in almost every respect. The Ovation, launched in 2018, was the “oldest ship” we’ve ...

Good, but sadly not as good as it was.

We've just returned from a 7 night cruise from Istanbul to Athens on the Encore and overall our experience was good. The crew are super professional, warm, welcoming and give the impression that nothing is too much trouble. The ship was familiar to us as we'd sailed on it's slightly younger sister, the Ovation back in 2019. The design of these ships is relatively simple, there are no real ...

This was our 45th cruise overall and our 3rd time on Seabourn. Seabourn is our favorite line because of the conviviality of our fellow passengers. We were traveling with family and all of us had a good time, relaxing, enjoying an excellent level of service, attentive but not fussy. It was an Atlantic crossing, but there were enough activities on board, including some very good enrichment ...

Totally magic first-time cruise

We had never been on a cruise; never wanted to go on one. A friend in California, who has cruised extensively, suggested we consider going on a cruise and go with Seabourn. Once I looked at their itineraries and discovered that not all cruises were floating orgies and beach parties, I was intrigued. I found their 14-day Venice to Istanbul cruise--two places I had not yet been to, but wanted to ...

Seabourn Ovation provides spacious suites, good food, friendly staff, and solid entertainment

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Seabourn Ovation

I cruise a variety of luxury lines, usually based on itinerary. Though I prefer somewhat longer cruises, as part of extended travel, I worked in this short Seabourn (SB) cruise relatively short-notice, to give SB another try after some disappointing experiences on the smaller ships. I was pleased with the improvements and efforts, and am happy I retried SB on the Ovation this year. Though the ...

I chose because of the itinerary and wanted to try Seabourn cruise line. We have sailed multiple times around the Mediterranean with Silversea so I wanted to go outside of the Mediterranean. This cruise started in Lisbon to Canary Islands and to Morocco into Med to Motril Spain and ended in Lisbon. While anticipating our trip I read a lot of Seabourn reviews and was nervous about the trip ...

Just finished 17 day cruise of Western Mediterranean. First time on Seabourn. 3rd cruise on ultra luxury cruise line. The most notable experiences on this cruise are as follows: Service of Staff. From the first day on board the staff made a point of knowing your name and treating you as special. This was clearly something Seabourn trains their staff to do as I saw many with "cheat ...

I am wrapping up a 14 night sailing from Athens to Athens onboard the Seabourn Encore. I have always been a fan of Seabourn and feel comfortable on board. Cruising on Seabourn as a return guest is truly like "coming home". The best asset that Seabourn has is their staff. This sailing was no exception. Under the direction of Hotel Director Kevin Huxham guests enjoy a level of service ...

We have been on odyssey and encore so this is our 3rd with seabourn. From the embarking to everything else it has been very disappointing. A noticeable reduction in crew, standards of dress code have dropped and are not reinforced when appropriate. A lot more children than ever before, this is crazy as there are no facilities for children. Guests arguing over the use of aged laundry ...
