Almost Perfection. Missing the laundromat, expanded sushi menu, longer swimming pool or endless pool to swim laps, and more than one night at the TK grill. Colonnade was an improvement over their smaller ships, the retreat was not utilized, Food was the best ever on any other ships (crystal, Celebrity, Cunard, Princess, Holland America, Windstar). Ship was spotless, service was flawless, Ports were great, tender service was a bit slow due to some long tender runs. Larger fitness area with more equipment was perfect. The ship is beautiful, morning coffee and pastries in the observation lounge for early risers was greatly appreciated. Now if they only could control the weather........ it was unusually hot 105-110F during the cruise which wiped you out after shore excursions, The pools were more like dunking spots filled with passengers after the excursions. AC in the ship worked great and provided relief from the heat. Read Less

We initially booked the crossing, (Fort Lauderdale to Barcelona)..however, after listening to what the next contiguous cruise, (Wine and Food) we stayed on the ship I must say, this particular was the best one for us on Seabourn. Every aspect of the trip, the ship itself, the staff and the cuisine. WOW! Everything about this cruise was excellent, (i.e., the ship itself, the staff, the cuisines and the wines!!! There were several people from the Corporated office in Seattle, who supported all of the daily events. Guest chefs were brought aboard during the sail, all of home provided special regional dishes. The Wine Guys were also aboard. They are world class experts on wines, especially, Spain and the United States. They made our trip s m o o t h............. I believe that the service on this particular cruise showed a level of excellence rising above what has always been wonderful. Read Less

Our first experience with Seabourn was in 2009. Our Norwegian vessel was docked near a Seabourn ship. Seeing how the Seabourn guests were welcomed aboard was an eye opener. In 2014, we took a deep breath and book the Greek Islands cruise on the Sojourn. A big step for us, but we wanted the all inclusive experience. i don't have the time or patience to attempt a complete review, but I confess to being a true believer in the Seabourn experience. I will never forget the staff members standing in front of the gangway cheering and applauding us as we came on board! So cool. We loved our cabin! It was big, luxurious, had a walk in closet and a bathtub. The veranda was big and private, and there was a table and chairs for in room dining in style. The staff were amazing. The first day I stopped by the Pool deck bar for a cocktail. The next day as I walked by the same bar, the bartender asked if I wanted the same cocktail I had previously ordered. Every one seemed to know our names. All the facilities were first rate, and the food was fabulous. The chef hosted an event where he made a fabulous paella in front of us while he chatted away about Seabourn, food, and his life experiences. We got to attend a shore event in the ruins of Ephesus where we were seated outside the coliseum and fed wine and snacks while being entertained by a string quartet...on the house. Seabourn gave us the cruise experience of a lifetime. Worth every penny. If you are considering stepping up from the more popular big ship cruises, we encourage you to consider going all the way to the finest...Seabourn. Read Less

This was the cruise of a lifetime - 5 days in Antarctica with zodiac landings each day, extremely well-experienced naturalists & photographers, plus superb lectures each day on what we were expected to see, or had seen. Then you get down to the ship! Unashamed luxury with full bath and double porcelain vanities in the marble bathroom, walk-in wardrobe, very spacious bedroom/relaxing area and large veranda. A bottle of champagne was waiting on ice in our suite, followed swiftly by our personal stewardess with glasses of champagne and canapés. The mini-bar was stocked with our favourite alcohol and soft drinks. Within two days, most of the crew knew us by name, nothing was too much trouble. Extremely comfortable bed, luxury linens (wanted to buy the pillows). Plenty of storage in the walk-in wardrobe. Robes and slippers provided. Spacious safe. Multi-channel flatscreen television. Lavish bathroom with lots of unexpected, cleverly-designed storage. Designer toiletries. Separate lounging and dining areas. The dining experiences were outstanding 6-star quality and in the realms of Michelin stars! All public areas were sumptuously furnished. The capacity of this ship is 450 guests and it had the perfect feel of not being crowded. An elevator door opens and its empty! No constant signing for drinks at dinner. Free seating at meals with whomever you wish to sit. Recognition and greeting of other guests when moving around the ship. This all had a very comfortable and homely feel to it. This was our first Seabourn experience but we quickly made a "future cruise" deposit and can't wait for the next one. If you can afford it, the difference is SO worth it! We'd like to go to Antarctica again but on Quest's sailing which includes South Georgia next time - Xmas 2014 hopefully. Read Less
