This was our 45th cruise overall and our 3rd time on Seabourn. Seabourn is our favorite line because of the conviviality of our fellow passengers. We were traveling with family and all of us had a good time, relaxing, enjoying an excellent level of service, attentive but not fussy. It was an Atlantic crossing, but there were enough activities on board, including some very good enrichment ...
I chose because of the itinerary and wanted to try Seabourn cruise line. We have sailed multiple times around the Mediterranean with Silversea so I wanted to go outside of the Mediterranean. This cruise started in Lisbon to Canary Islands and to Morocco into Med to Motril Spain and ended in Lisbon. While anticipating our trip I read a lot of Seabourn reviews and was nervous about the trip ...
We chose this cruise because the itinerary covered ports which we hadn't been to, and it offered a handsome discount because our Antarctic cruise had been cancelled. Also, we were going to be in the area for a family occasion later in the month. The other prior ultra luxury cruise we'd been on was on the Regent Explorer, which won hands down.
These were my problems with the Sojourn:
1. ...
The ship was beautiful, clean and staff / crew were wonderful. Our cabin was large and we were on deck 5 which has smaller cabins than the other decks. It was roomy and laid out well. We were in 514 and it was noisy when they dropped the anchor. Actually the whole room vibrated.
Entertainment was fair. Lectures were very good. Excursions were great, but pricey.
The food was a bit of a ...
We were on the Seabourn Sojourn with friends who were in suite 737. Their cruise was ruined by the constant loud noises from the patio bar on deck 8 above their suite. It ruined our cruise as well since our traveling companies were so upset. We visited their room to hear for ourselves. If it were my room I would have considered jumping overboard. Otherwise a very nice cruise. Seabourn does a ...
The reason Sojourn gets even 4 stars from me is the staff - 5 stars, for sure. Outstanding service everywhere, consistently. The only exceptions were Head Sommelier and Somm in The Grill. Neither one were knowledgeable about available premium wines. When asked about a premium listing on the MDR wine list, Head somm replied, "I don't know. I've only been on board 2 weeks." Wrong answer....And ...
My wife and I just recently finished the 11 day Ultimate Alaska Seabourn cruise on the Sojourn. Really a great experience! Ship was beautiful, our room was comfortable and well appointed, food was fantastic and the shore excursions were organized and resulted in great experiences. The Bears of Anan and fishing for salmon in the Gulf of Sitka were 2 highlights. Service was excellent 90% of the ...
We chose this cruise because of very good past experiences on Seabourn, particularly on the 210 passenger “little sisters”.
When they introduced the larger (450 passenger) ships the loss of the country club ambiance was significant. One glaring but understandable change was the dramatically reduced use of passenger’s names, it was a very common and pleasant feature on the smaller ships but it ...
Cabin and Sailing
We both really enjoy sailing with Seabourn, however it must be said that we are starting to see a few cracks in the wall apart from the service which continues in our mind to be 110%
Subsequent to our 2017 sailing in Alaska with the mini refit in December we were rather disappointed.
The pool deck after we were advised had been replaced remained faulty and was at one ...
Chose this cruise at the last minute to see Alaska before it all melts. The cruise was thoroughly enjoyable, food and wine fabulous, cabin roomy and staff helpful and friendly. My cabin attendant was fabulous, leaving little things like roses and hand cut butterflies behind. I would have liked a little more time in certain places like Juneau and Sitka in order to have time to take more shore ...
