Seabourn Quest's "gimme shelter" Canadian Autumn Cruise disappoints

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Seabourn Quest

OVERVIEW I have cruised luxury lines multiple times in the last decade ( sometimes with my husband, sometimes with friends, or alone) and several times since Covid. We are loyal to no line in particular, and prefer to mix and match lines, depending on itinerary and timing. Though we had cruised Seabourn (SB) , and the Quest, prior to the pandemic, this was our first SB post-pandemic cruise. ...

There is much to like about Seabourn's fall foliage cruise provided you don't encounter a hurricane (Dorian) and have to forego Prince Edward Island and opt instead for 2 nights in St. John New Brunswick, an unscheduled port where it rained sideways. The captain was cautious, and when we read about the power outages in PEI and the hurricane-related problems in Halifax, we felt good about ...

We have been on multiple cruises ,first time on seaborne .I like the small ship ,the crew driving the ship ,especially the captain was very professional and competent .Our suite was very nice .Food in the main dining room was very average with a heavy emphasis every night on salmon and shrimp .Service was disorganized and poor taking up to 2 hours to eat .No obvious supervision .The Colonnade ...

We chose the Seabourn because friends of ours had already booked the cruise. We had heard wonderful things about the cruise line and were anticipating an exceptional experience. Unfortunately the weather was not in our favor and we had to for go a lot of exploring in Quebec, which is a beautiful city. We had to also miss one of the ports we were looking forward to , Bar Harbor Maine due to ...

This was a 14 day cruise from Montreal to Miami with a nice itinerary which we took on Seabourn to if it remained a premium line. Background: 70 yr. old married couple with over 400 cruising days on 12 different lines in the last 10 years or so. We were on Seabourn when it was an independent line, no Carnival. Best: The ship. Very attractive, clean, modern ship. Very sterile in appearances, ...

Nice But Not Worth the Price

I'm a travel writer and although I've been on several cruises, [I'm not an avid cruiser]; I will say that this cruise was nice. Almost all of the crew were great, the ship clean and well maintained. There were certainly parts of this cruise that we enjoyed very much; but for the cost of the cruise you should enjoy it, and be treated very well. This review is not about the ports, which were ...

I am not a frequent cruiser. However, the purpose of taking cruises was getting away from home to have some relaxing time and enjoyment. Service, food and pleasent surrounding became the major. Seabourn Quest is a small ship. Comparing to other luxury cruises, Silversea and Crystal I took before, there are not that many public area to explore in Quest. All dining facilities or bars have 2 ...

Excessive tendering and poor dock location contributed to a subpar experience.

A sad omen for our cruise occurred when we heard an announcement on the PA system from the captain, "All Staff, Code Oscar" indicating a passenger overboard. Within the first few hours of the cruise, a passenger was overboard (reportedly a suicide). Of course that is not the ship's fault, but the event started the cruise off on a very sad note. Much less serious but detracting from the cruise ...

The ship is well maintained and the crew were very much better than average. That being said if unusual things came up then the service fell down, even after speaking with the manager of guest services. I had two major issues with the ship 1) the shower is way to small especially if someone is bigger than a small child/person. Nothing the crew can do to change that design flaw. I hope in their ...
