Perfection

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Seabourn Ovation

Terrific in Every Way. Fine build. Superb crew. Excellent services. Perfect Food. Only The shore excursions fell down. Overall, tho pricey, an excellent value. The service was thoughtful and not over the top. They were present, but not obnoxiously so we liked the fact that we could usually control the cabin temperature, and that the housekeeping worked around our schedule social activities ...

Not bad

First time on Seabourn. Previously a Crystal Cruise Cruiser. The ship is smaller in all respects to Crystal and that took some adjusting to. The rooms are spacious, colonnade and Thomas Keller food fantastic and the restaurant while starting off questionable, ended with good food and service. Ship has everything one could want and I enjoyed meeting folks on excursions. Spa services were ...

Excellent Return to Sailing 18 Night Cruise

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Seabourn Quest

We were a bit nervous when we learned that our 18 night cruise on the Quest was the first sailing since covid shutdown. However, Seabourn staff did a wonderful job and most things seemed "back to normal". We sailed from Barcelona to Ravenna (a port 2 hour included bus ride from Venice) as large ships can no longer dock in Venice. There was some pre-cruise confusion on check-in, ship board ...

The best food of all the small luxury cruise ships

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Seabourn Encore

We chose Seabourn again, because we had tried other lines - Silversea and Regent. On those other lines the excursions were great, but we were not impressed with the food or service. Seabourn had recently hired a new chef for the pool deck evening dining venue - called Earth and Sea. Phenomenal food. Better than any restaurant we have in Seattle or anywhere else. After trying the other dining ...

Because of the destination and the reviews is why we picked Seabourn .After sailing with Seabourn I will never go with another cruise. It was outstanding in every way. We have been with 6 other cruise lines in the past and Seabourn is far superior. The food in all the resturants was excellant. The staff could not do enough for you and there was a lot of them. From the embarkation to the ...

LOVED the Seabourn Ovation and our Iberian cruise

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Seabourn Ovation

We chose this cruise because we had not been to Spain (except for Barcelona which we love), Lisbon or Porto, Gibralter or Morocco. The ports of call and shore excursions were fantastic. We saw many beautiful sights and learned a lot. The ship itself was truly wonderful. The captain and officers were friendly and affable (not to mention very competent), the Executive Chef talented and sooooo ...

IS SEABOURN'S HALO SLIPPING?

We arrived at Manchester Airport only to be advised that our flight to Barcelona was delayed by an hour, not a major problem at the start of our holiday. We got to Barcelona one hour behind schedule, but our Sixt driver was there with name card and we were whisked off to the Colon Hotel for our two day stay prior to our cruise. The Colon hotel is excellently placed for sightseeing in ...

I chose this cruise for a couple of reasons had a chance to travel with family and the thought of going to Barcelona, Morocco, Canary Islands etc. was a gem in itself. I enjoyed the culture, history and architecture of each country. I took many interesting tours and found each day was more exciting than the first. I loved the idea of Specialty Dinners and dressing up in our wonderful attire. The ...

Romance of the Rivieras

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Seabourn Encore

I love approaching the terminal right before embarkation. The anticipation has been building for so long, the ship is finally in sight, and you’re almost there! But here’s a tip: in Barcelona, Seabourn ships may not be docked with the others. Our taxi driver (who did not speak English… I’m not sure many in Barcelona do) wanted to go where the larger ships usually dock; we had to motion to him to ...

Booked Great Tour Guide in Tangier Independently of Seabourn

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Seabourn Encore

User Avatar

First Time Cruiser • Age 70s

This cruise focuses on the resort areas of southwestern Europe (Spain, Portugal & France.) But we booked it to see a bit of Morocco (Tangier), Cadiz and Cape St. Vincent (where Admiral Nelson famously prevailed over the Spanish fleet). Hailing from Palm Beach, Florida, we don't need to visit beaches or beach towns. Early in the cruise, we took a couple of Seabourn's shore excursions. Each ...
