We chose Scenic as we had not travelled with them before and we had heard great reviews from previous travellers. Food and staff on the Ruby were excellent. Let me give the positives first 1. ship is old and beautifully maintained 2. Our deluxe balcony suite was comfortable and spotless. Plenty of closet and drawers, safe and small refrigerator which was stocked with beverages and a few snacks. Soaps, and hair products are in large containers. Although the staff were very nice & mostly tried their best, the priority is for Scenic's needs -passengers and their requests are very low on the list.! We were situated in a cabin towards the back of the ship subject to noise and vibration whilst sailing during the night.
