We have travelled with Scenic on five occasions now and never been disappointed. The level of attention they apply before, during and after the cruise is outstanding. From pre-cruise accommodation to airport transfers to baggage management, to reception, to extremely attentive, but fuss free staff - nothing but ticks. We chose Scenic as we had not travelled with them before and we had heard great reviews from previous travellers. Food and staff on the Ruby were excellent. We missed specialist dining in designated restaurant - seems to have been cut out. Lack of entertainment in evenings was very disappointing. There was a piano on the ship, it was never played. Let me give the positives first 1. ship is old and beautifully maintained 2. Our deluxe balcony suite was comfortable and spotless. Plenty of closet and drawers, safe and small refrigerator which was stocked with beverages and a few snacks. Soaps, and hair products are in large containers. We chose Scenic as they are one of the few that are genuinely all inclusive. Alcohol flows all day, as does food and all gratuities are covered by Scenic. You really don’t spend a cent from the time you step on board, unless you choose to shop in the towns. This aspect was definitely as advertised.
