This was our 9th cruise. First time in Costa. Food in dining rooms was nasty. Buffet was good, but too many people went there. Probably because they didn't like dining room food either. Beware of bread - it's rock hard, not edible!!!!
Staff is stuffy, not friendly sa on carnival or Norwegian. Also, they don't know anything. We were lied to about the drink programs numerous times. We had our ...
Overall a good experience, however, our cabin 6270 was placed right above the 4D cinema, it resulted in a noise-level over over 90 dB in the cabin, and a vibrating floor.
Please read the full cabin-review below.
We did the Mediteranian tour from Savona-Marseilles-Barcelone-Mallorca-Rome and La Spezia
Marseilles is a dump, I do not understand why it's part of any cruise, it's a city which ...
Just back from a week on the Costa Diadema. Would suggest to everyone to go with another company as Costa made us feel like a burden on numerous occasions throughout the week. English was the fifth language on board after Italian, Spanish, French and German. The schedule, procedures etc. were chaotic and confusing for us and every query we made to a member of staff was met with eye-rolling and ...
This was my first ever cruise so can make no comparison. Decided to try a cruise and see if I enjoyed the experience / type of holiday.
Firstly positives : No supplement for single occupancy, large cabin which was kept spotlessly clean - in fact linen and towels changed too frequently. Glad to be on deck 10 with only neighbouring cabin. Extremely comfortable bed - bathroom very ...
We were really looking forward to this cruise, especially since we took Costa for our honeymoon in 2012. Some things have changed, sadly not for the better. While overall it was a good trip, Costa is slipping. Some highlights: even though we paid for the Piu' Gusto drinks package, we found upon arrival that it wasn't on our Costa cards (which were conveniently placed on our bed). So after a phone ...
We have always cruised with Costa for 8 years and tried MSC and P&O only to find ourselves return to Costa purely for the great food, entertainment and welcoming staff. But over the years their system has changed dramatically and on this particular cruise we found that everything is money orientated and here is a list of what I mean:
1) Costa always provided water at dinner times on previous ...
Sorry but this is the worst type of cruise, for us anyway.
Too many people trying to get food, drink and onto coaches.
The restaurant waiters are very good and food great, but at the buffet at lunch times the passengers pushing and filling their plates so high makes you feel ill.
Our main problems with costa is not having water available when needed without having to pay for it, and every ...
I really enjoyed my trip. The crew was nice and welcoming. There were lots and lots of entertainment. We participated in the Lotto draw and my brother in law, won a price i.e. a dinner in one of your esteemed restaurant. He was the one who took us on cruise. The ship is really beautiful. The service also was nice. The only problem is that being an Indian and pure vegetarian my choice of ...
This ship spoilt cruising for me,it is too big, too crowded and to expensive, example a bottle of water 3.75 euro plus 15% tax, water is not available when the dining room closes so if you have medication to takeover outside those times you need to buy water, not very nice but it is a way of getting money out of you.
Lifts are slow and always congested , lengthy queus going to meals , embarking ...
We've been on cruises before and we were really looking forward to our holiday. I'm a food & travel writer & I travel a lot. No exaggeration, it's the worst holiday experience that I've ever had in my life! Embarking, they x-rayed our bag & tried to take our bottles of wine. 'You must buy your wine on board,' we were told. I told him to get lost & we walked away. We hardly slept at all due to ...
