1-10 of 256 Princess Sapphire Princess Singles Cruises Reviews
The Sapphire Princess is in very good shape for an “older” ship. Sure, there were some stains on carpets and chips on tile, but on a whole I was very impressed. We enjoyed the fact that this Princess ship still maintains a full wide wrap-around Promenade deck (with only the need to go up and down a flight at the bow.)
Embarkation: the worst ever. Princess was not prepared for this, although ...
We joined friends and my daughter for this "once in a lifetime" Antarctic cruise. The big takeaway was the outstanding customer service throughout the ship in every venue: room steward, dining room hosts and stewards, Guest Services, photo shop, and internet booth. Across the board the staff at each of these went above and beyond to ensure a smooth and delightful cruise!
The Captain did a ...
Princess did a great job with staffing. I made memories for a lifetime with various crewmembers stellar service. The shows were okay. Yes, quite dated in some cases. Ashley Rose Smith is a treasure with her singing and ability to keep a somewhat sedate crowd interested especially in her ABBA show. Sudarmo in International Cafe-amazing!! Rhoneil, our waiter. Well we never do set dining but when we ...
Travelled with Princess in earlier times and had not a good experience overall. The Hawaii destination did inspire us to use the company again and taste their latest trading style. Although we found lots of improvements on board, we still find the basic missing with much frustration in this matter. Having worked all my life in the catering industry in London's 4 & 5 star Hotels, found the service, ...
Sapphire was built in 2004 and refurbished in 2018.
It hold ups to 2670 passengers and up to 1100 crew. That's a nice crew to passenger ratio.
This smaller ship really provides wonderful service. We took a repositioning cruise from Vancouver to Los Angeles from October 8th-15th, 2023.
I would have given them a 4 1/2 stars, but that wasn't a choice.
The reality is even though, they ...
Price for a turnaround Alaskan cruise was really inexpensive. You see same ports but different glaciers. Obstructed ocean view cabin is clean and comfortable. I just wish Princess would clean the outside windows. The new Alaskan menu in the dining room is excellent if you like fish/ seafood. 3 production shows good, comedians horrible. The naturalist onboard gave informative lectures but the ...
We chose this cruise because of the dates. Everything and everyone was wonderful. The only fault we found was the condition of our cabin. The bathroom needed more attention to clean stains in the shower and toilet. There were stains on the bed cover so we just threw it off. We knew this was an older ship that had been refurbished. There was not enough late night entertainment. We are night people. ...
This was a 'cruisetour' to Alaska, starting from Anchorage and ending in Vancouver. The land portion consisted of a first night in Anchorage (stay was at Princess' Captain Cook), second night at McKinley Princess Lodge and third and fourth nights at Denali Princess Lodge. Honestly the stay in Anchorage and McKinley was 'irrelevant' - meaning these were not worthy stops as far as interesting ...
We had a minisuite and an obstructed view cabin on the Emerald deck. My cabin review below will be for the minisuite.
Notes:
- We had five total people on the cruise. Two kiddos (8 and 3), two parents (30s) and one grandmother (70s).
- This was the second cruise for the parents. We did an Alaskan cruise 10 years ago and this time brought the grandma and the kiddos. So clearly we aren't ...
This was a bucket list trip for me. We embarked in Buenos Aires and took it all the way to Los Angeles, around Cape Horn. The scenery around Cape Horn is truly spectacular. The cruise was 32 days.
Even though my wife and I are in our early 70s, I think we were probably younger than the average passenger on the ship. There was one family that had two children. If there were other children ...
