My husband and I have cruised with Princess 6 times - twice on the Sapphire. HOTEL: We drove to Long Beach and stayed at the DoubleTree on Cabrillo. There is no extra charge for cruise parking. Most people were between 70-95, about 15 kids, maybe a dozen adults below 40, a skattering of adults between 40-60. Polite people, lots of wheel chairs, walkers, and canes. Quiet. I have sailed on three of the Princess ships now and the Sapphire is the largest so far. My stateroom was in the front quarter of the ship and the dinning room was at the stern so I had to walk three footballs in length to get to supper! And you can't get there from here either. Booked the 28 day Hawaii/South Pacific cruise on Sapphire Princess in late August 2013. Selected guaranteed inside. Received a great inside room, Baja deck, just aft of mid-ship.
