Good Cape Horn Cruise after a shaky start

Review for a South America Cruise on Celebrity Infinity

We had always wanted to do a Cape Horn cruise as it is one of the classic voyages. We were 2 couples. Coming out of Covid, the incentives were fantastic with free drinks, tips and (slow) wifi. Embarkation from Valparaiso was a gong show as I believe ours was the first ship departing for Celebrity from that port in about 3 years. Lots of grumbling in the very long line and many of the staff ...

We just got off the Celebrity Infinity on her re-position cruise from South America to Fort Lauderdale. Considering she was limping on only one good engine, her support staff and Captain sure did an excellent job getting us from Chile to Florida, and through the Panama Canal, with as least an interruption to our schedule as they could manage. We didn't miss any ports of call as planned and the ...

South American Reunion Cruise

We chose this cruise as we were a group of 10 persons who have all travelled widely and were looking for new destinations. The Panama Canal cruise with South American ports of call ticked most of the group's boxes. The ship's facilities were excellent as were the entertainment on sailing days and evening theatre. The state room cabins were excelent and were perfectly serviced by the cabin ...

+++++Value. I Love Celebrity and the Infinity is an older ship but so comfortable for us! Let's start from the beginning: March 14th: We choose to break up our trip and fly from Fort Lauderdale to Bogota, Columbia. It was a 5 hour flight on Avianca Airlines (an airline we haven't traveled). The flight was great, I would definately fly with them again. We booked the Marriott Bogota Airport. ...

We chose this cruise because we did not want to go around the horn but wanted to visit S. Am. We have sailed on Princess several times in the past and like to book our next cruise prior to leaving the ship. Princess always seems to have excellent entertainment, food, and services. The one downside members of our group mentioned this trip was the lack of Happy Hour at the Wheel House. That ...

Mid march is a great time to get away from a long dreary winter. If you seek a little adventure then I would suggest you sail on the 16 night Andes and South America cruise. We opted to fly in to Santiago and take the Princess transfer to the port of San Antonio. We rode on a modern air conditioned bus. The ride was about an hour and a half. We had no washroom so you may want to use a ...

We had been living in in Chile for about 7 weeks and found this cruise. Actually cheaper than flying (before on-board stuff). Great leisurely way to get back to the states. Since we had been in Chile and have been to Costa Rica a few times and Nicaragua, we were not interested in excursions to I can't speak to any of those. This was our 4th sailing with Princess. Crew was always ...

we wanted to see south America, where we'd never been. From Santiago, not so much of interest near the coast, but all ports were good. Very dry desert. Lots of poor people everywhere. Some things I wanted to see over 2 hours from port, so not worth it for old people. found the guides everywhere were outstanding. The ship was very nice and well laid out. It had lots of sea days, so they were ...
