Amazing expedition and beautiful weather too

This was my first Lindblad expedition experience, 2019 Epic Patagonia and everyday from the first day arriving in Santiago, Chile was better than the last. There were some things that Lindblad had no control over, like the amazing mild and sunny weather we experienced on almost all the days of this expedition, and the 5 pumas showing up for their portraits at Torres Del Paine. My solo cabin on ...

I can't understand why a big cruise line like Princess simply doesn't understand what is vegetarian and what is not, despite being advised repeatedly. Overall, not blown away by the cuisine. I'm afraid too that reception staff were not particularly knowledgeable about the port arrangements on one particular day, in fact giving me completely inaccurate information and causing a degree of stress ...

South America Santiago, Chile March 14, 2019 to Los Angeles, March 30, 2019) appealed to my wife and I. We enjoyed Chile (Santiago and Coquimbo), Peru (San Martin and Lima) and Costa Rica (Puntarenas), less so Nicaragua (San Juan del Sur), that was rushed and felt a little unsafe, and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, that was a free day to unwind. We chose eZAir for our flight (13 hours) from LA four days ...

We did the 30 day cruise in December and spent the winter in Argentina and Chile. The logical choice was to return to California on the same ship from Santiago. We are fairly new to cruising but we love the Star Princess. The staff seems to be genuinely friendly and wants you to feel like part of the family. A couple of the ports were a little disappointing but I don’t think it was the fault of ...

Ports of call interesting. We havd never been to these countries on the Pacific side of South America.. Going this tome of year we expected, and received waem weather. Having sailed with Princess several times, with very positive results, we picked this itinerary. Being familiar with the Royal Princess, having sailed with her before, and having been told that she was refitted with new ...

Wanted to passage the Panama Canal again - to see the new larger locks that were being built the last time we passed this way - Holland America was recommended to us - we were disappointed at the poor meals - not much choice and constantly had rice (which we are not keen on) - the expensive poor trips - some of which did not actually visit all the places listed. As the cruise went on - things ...

This was a once in a lifetime cruise around Cape Horn starting in Santiago, Chile….glacial cruising around Cape Horn, Antarctica landings, up the east coast of South America, ending deep in the Amazon in Manaus, Brazil. For booking, this cruise was forty-two days and technically two back to back cruises on Seabourn Quest. The ship is reinforced for Antarctica. This was the last summer trip ...

We have been sailing Crystal since 2001, on the Harmony, Symphony, and Serenity. Usually we do back-to-back cruises (our last was 35 days from Valparaiso to Auckland on the Symphony in a PH cabin). It will be our last on any Crystal ship. Now that Crystal has chopped up its cruises into mini 5-day segments, and "relaxed" its dress code, it has become a down-scale cruise line. We have always ...

I have now taken 4 voyages on Crystal Symphony, and 11 total on Crystal (including one river cruise) and on this cruise had the best combination of sea days and (to me) new interesting ports to visit. I felt the service was better than ever. The staff were happy and did seem more relaxed and content, which helps me feel more relaxed during my vacation. Ambassador hosts were charming and good ...

The star princess is bit dated. I heard they are taking it of service next year. I wouldn’t recommend any ship in same class as star princess.Worst area was food, and particularly horizon court. Not much choice, and food some times over cooked and sometimes undercooked. For example, avocado tomato sandwich was like a brick. Had to throw it away. Food was very bland. Ice cream and pizza were ...
