first we enjoyed the overall cruise . the staff and service was great. the ports were good we took independent excursions La Serena Chile toured with La Citro Verde great tour if you have a chance go for it every where we drove the citons people waved .. lunch was a delight the guides where wonderful rating ten plus!!!
San Martin Pisco Peru had a combo tour but sea conditions canceled all Islas ...
The dinning room experience was good.. Great service. Food served hot. We thought the food was good. Quantities are a bit less but that is ok as one can always request a second plate. With back to back cruises the menus were repeated but still good choices. The onboard entertainment was a good mix however some shows were repeated because of the back to back cruises. The under the stars ...
The activity staff was great on the ship with Trivia and games 2 times a day. The ship did not have enough interesting enrichment sessions except for fellow passengers who did the bike ride from northern Alaska to bottom of South America. Their presentation was amazing!
The food on the cruise was just ok with dinners taking over 2 hours due to delays in the kitchen.
We did enjoy the ...
-Three meals took two hours
-Locked out of cabin because of battery failure, no supervisor around to open cabin, no process to identify when battery failing or rather process exists but is ignored because of cost of replacing door battery. Better to wait until passengers locked out I guess
-laundry lost, subsequently found
-ship out of many supplies such as wine by the glass, applesauce, ...
Mid march is a great time to get away from a long dreary winter. If you seek a little adventure then I would suggest you sail on the 16 night Andes and South America cruise.
We opted to fly in to Santiago and take the Princess transfer to the port of San Antonio. We rode on a modern air conditioned bus. The ride was about an hour and a half. We had no washroom so you may want to use a ...
We chose this cruise because we did not want to go around the horn but wanted to visit S. Am. We have sailed on Princess several times in the past and like to book our next cruise prior to leaving the ship. Princess always seems to have excellent entertainment, food, and services.
The one downside members of our group mentioned this trip was the lack of Happy Hour at the Wheel House. That ...
Never again! Have sailed many times with Holland America, and also with Cunard and Viking. First time with Princess - and this will be the last time, also. Many Princess cruisers said this was not like previous cruises - much worse - and think it may be Carnival Corporation's doing.
Terribly disorganized ship, inedible (literally inedible!) food served in dining room, staff bickering ...
Took cruise in order to circumference South America. Good cruise except for the nonexistent wi-fy. No way to keep in contact with family except at the ports due to the ship’s poor internet during the entire cruise.
The main dining room meals got boring after second week. More variety for menu options on Lido. We did go to the specialty steak house restaurant for a Birthday celebration. We ...
My wife and I were looking for a follow-up cruise to our cruise of a lifetime aboard Oceania. Having cruised Princess a number of times we felt it would have good quality but in no way equal to Oceania. Boy were we disappointed. We were expecting a Pontiac and got a Chevrolet. It started with an 1-1/2 ride on a bus with seats that were very uncomfortable. When we got to port, the embarkation ...
We enjoyed the itinerary and had a good time. But, as usual with Princess, the food varied widely from excellent to terrible. The first week, the food in the main dining room was really high quality. Then it went downhill during the second week. The food in the buffet was consistently poor throughout, by the way. Can't recommend eating there unless you're in a rush.
Princess needs to get some ...
