We picked this cruise in 2017, and booked on last cruise as we had been to Antarctica and thought the Chilean fjords and around the Horn sounded great. Picked our tours on line, had our special C1 stateroom, over wake, and looking forward to cruise. Found out after final payment--our stateroom cost dropped almost to 1/2 our price--Celebrity was not easy to deal with-got a couple perks??? Then ...
My wife and I were looking for a follow-up cruise to our cruise of a lifetime aboard Oceania. Having cruised Princess a number of times we felt it would have good quality but in no way equal to Oceania. Boy were we disappointed. We were expecting a Pontiac and got a Chevrolet. It started with an 1-1/2 ride on a bus with seats that were very uncomfortable. When we got to port, the embarkation ...
The crew is very professional and accommodating. A few of the ship's interior spaces have recently been updated but the overwhelming majority of restaurants and bars are very worn and are in much need of modernization.
While much of the musical entertainment was very good the majority of daily activities were geared for older passengers and lacked inspiration. The Cruise Director really needs ...
Choose for NCL reputation and itinerary. This cruise did not come close to my prior experiences. Terrible smell which Captain first denied and then admitted was from sewage tank that sprang a leak and ran down elevator shaft. Smell was terrible for 5 days and then improved but came back. Was repaired, I think, on day 19 in La as we were 7 hours late leaving and smell was gone.
Also "dry dock" ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary( the Western side of South America). The itinerary was great and generally the ports did not dissappoint Us at all.
Our stateroom( midship with a veranda) was also very nice, decent size with plenty of closet space.
However, though we have been on plenty of cruises running the gamut from Royal Caribbean, Cunard, all the way to Silver Sea we have ...
Santiago (Valparaiso) to San Francisco on the NCL Sun
We chose this cruise because it left and arrived at 2 cities of which we are very fond. We had planned a day flight north over the Andes but it was the wrong time of the year, dry and dusty pollution covering the gorgeous mountains. A small disappointment, nothing can spoil your time in this city when you can eat beef of that quality and ...
Our cruise on the Celebrity Infinity was from Valparaiso cruising Northward seeing South America, Panamagg Canal and ending in Ft Lauderdale. Let me discuss some of the pre-cruise events.
Our flight to Santiago was uneventful with the airport recovering from the 2010 earthquake which significantly damaged the International airport. Our private tour guides, Sergio and Annaliese from Perfect Day ...
We were on the Infinity on March 1st until March 29th, 2015. Had I not known the name of the Cruise Line I would have never, ever thought I was on the Infinity.
I found the entertainment at night boring. So much so, that we would go to the shows and walk out due to boredom. I didn't find any activity that I could participate in. If you do not like trivia or dancing, you truly don't have ...
We have waited until now to file our review on the infinity cruise mar 15-29 valpariso to fll. we had hoped our experience was unique to the crew and circumstances we encountered. not so most of reviews to date are not so nice. we also waited to see if celebrity would respond to our harsh feedback. nothing. we might as well be first time cruisers. In actuality we are Elite Plus having ...
