Disappointing South America Cruise with Viking

We had taken Viking's Mekong Delta cruise and had a great time so we booked the South American Cruise expecting a similar experience. While the ship was beautiful our cruise experience was sadly disappointing. The ship could not dock at two of 8 ports of call due to weather. The Muse is a beautiful new ship and it will not disappoint your expectations. But, near the last minute, SilverSea pulled one of the prized destinations in favor of another day at sea. The itinerary appealed to me and the time of year was perfect. I was led to believe that Cunard were an upmarket company but several things were not up to standard. We sailed from Valparaiso to Tahiti in January 2016. This was our first Oceania cruise. I doubt we would sail with Oceania again. First thing was their loss leader concept on their brochures. Advertise a low fare and when you try to book that fare, it's long gone. I just don't appreciate that in a company. We picked this cruise specifically because of the itinerary.
