Review for Golden Princess to South America

The ship needed a total interior redo. carpets, couches, chairs, everything seemed well used. Even the exterior of the ship needed a paint job. Service was excellent from our room steward. The food was just average except for the specials for the 50th anniversary, they were excellent, It go's to show you that the cooks and chefs can put out fantastic fare when they allowed to. Since we did our own ...

Let me start by saying that I'm a Princess fan and I will certainly take another Princess cruise in the near future. The overall experience was very good, inevitably over the 2 weeks a few negative experience occur but I was most satisfied with most aspects of the cruise experience. These included Breakfast in the international cafe. Nice pastries, good coffee (Coffee card a fair deal), attentive ...

This was our 11th cruise with Princess and third on Golden Princess. She is looking very worn but understand she is going into dry dock in April. We cannot agree with other comments re the food, it was excellent, we enjoyed all of the meals in the Horizon bar and the main restaurants. The staff as always were friendly and professional. The port lecturer Julia Delgado was excellent very ...

January 17 cruise from Valparaiso to Buenos Aires Worst cruise ever

I recently returned from a trip on the Golden Princess from Valparaiso to Buenos Aires.. I have been on many Princess Cruises in the past, starting with the Royal Princess in the 1970s. I can't believe how downhill Princess has gone. I was very disappointed in this cruise experience. First I will begin with the positive. The ship is pretty. The mini suite was nice and a good size. The speciality ...

We just finished our South America cruise and we're very happy with everything Both embarkation and getting off were very organizes. Ship was old but clean and we'll kept. Room was very comfortable and meals were good. Some of the shows good with repetitions as the new actors could not join the ship in Ushuaia. We did not like the port of madryn Too long of a ride for what we saw. Weather was ...

Great Way to Visit South America

I chose this cruise as I had never visited South America. When I added up the cost of alternative ways of visiting the places included on the cruise, such as flights or bus, the cruise was the better option for me financially, even as a solo traveller. Highlights of the cruise for me were Valparaiso (before embarkation), the Beagle Channel, Buenos Aires and the port of disembarkation, Rio de ...

The worst cruise we did

ENGLISH FIRST: We traveled several vessels with Diamond Princess in Asia and we were very satisfied. We made several cruises on Celebrity Cruises and Oceania cruises. But the Golden really needs a FACE LIFT anywhere on the boat. A lady got caught in a public toilet, the door would not unlock ... The food was terrible and the staff of the dining room was always on the rush ... The hotel master ...

My DH and I were fortunate enough to take a 17 day Cruise on the Golden Princess from Santiago, Chile to Los Angeles, Ca. We had an amazing time. The staff on the ship was friendly and could not have done more for us. Our personal favorite was the Bartender at the Promenade Bar were we spend many happy evenings with our new and old friends at the Bar. The food was great, we had no complaints. The ...

First time on Golden Princess was fabulous. Everyone was wonderful...from the crew to the cruise desk to the waiters, bar staff and spa! Everything was wonderful, our Suite and the fabulous amenities. Enjoyed breakfast at Sabitini's each morning with the best eggs benedict I've had (well among them) and Skywalker at the end of the day for some cheese and martini's.....feet up, life was grand. If ...

Let me preface this review by saying that some people are built for longer cruises and some people are not. Personally, I like a cruise that is 10 days maximum. I have friends who are looking forward to cruising the planet and I envy them, but I know it's not for me. I'm just not the type of person who can do nothing for so many days at a time. I like relaxing sea days, but I also like more ...
