Embarkation
We cruised from Valparaiso, Chile to Buenos Aires, Argentina on Feb 24-Mar 10 2023 on the Oosterdam (I renamed it the Disasterdam!). On the cruise there was an interesting talk to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Holland America Line on HAL’s history. One segment was about the line transporting immigrants from Europe to the US in the late 1800’s-early 1900’s. They decided to ...
We chose this cruise as it was offered to us at a discounted price due to our mariner status & casino offers. The fruit was old, meat chewy, food cold many times and many areas of the ship needs repair. We had multiple issues with our cabin and never got them resolved. We were very dissatisfied and unsure we will return to Holland cruise line even though we have 4 star mariner status. The line has ...
-Three meals took two hours
-Locked out of cabin because of battery failure, no supervisor around to open cabin, no process to identify when battery failing or rather process exists but is ignored because of cost of replacing door battery. Better to wait until passengers locked out I guess
-laundry lost, subsequently found
-ship out of many supplies such as wine by the glass, applesauce, ...
Never again! Have sailed many times with Holland America, and also with Cunard and Viking. First time with Princess - and this will be the last time, also. Many Princess cruisers said this was not like previous cruises - much worse - and think it may be Carnival Corporation's doing.
Terribly disorganized ship, inedible (literally inedible!) food served in dining room, staff bickering ...
Re NORWEGIAN SUN depart San Antonio (Santiago) 17 Feb 2018 heading to Miami.
(Departure port was changed from Valparaiso to San Antonio shortly before the cruise)
On arrival in our Cabin we were told that:
• There was an outbreak of Acute Gastro Enteritis (AGE) / Norovirus on board
• There was Maintenance planned during the cruise.
We had not received any advice by email, text or ...
NEVER AGAIN ON NCL!!! Wanted to do Panama Canal so decided to do this one. The cruise before had 80 illnesses and no one contacted us to inform us of the issue. We were not able to board ship until late afternoon and once on board could not get to cabin. Had to wait to be served any food or water the whole time on ship. We could not use the library until the last 3 days of 16 day cruise, ...
It seems like Princess has decided not to prioritize customer service. This trip felt more like working with an airline than a cruise line. The guest relations staff was not empowered to do anything when a problem arose. The food was mediocre. The entertainment, with a few exceptions, was terrible. The director of dining was abrasive. The decor was dated. The tendering was poor. Some of the ...
The itinerary and entertainment was great. Everything else was awful...condition of Ship and cabin, food, service. The Infinity is not being kept up. Do not go on any Celebrity Ship that is not newer! We had a horrible time. Nothing was kept up and no one cared. The crew were not properly trained. The phone service did not work. So much was dirty. There was norovirus for months and months. There ...
Pre & post tour transfers & hotels were, as usual, excellent. Maybe Princess should take notes on how to handle their most valued assets, (their customers) from these organizations!
It all started off on the wrong foot - embarkation. Herded like cattle through, what seemed like, endless lines before actual entry into the embarkation chamber. And of course, being a Platinum member, we ...
We like long cruises and this was a back to back cruise starting in Valparaiso, Chile and ending Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We have taken 20+ cruises and this was the only one that we have EVER complained about. Princess has lower the entire experience of cruising. They do not make the experience special anymore now you just a number!!!!
We chose anytime dining and the service was great but ...
