Supposedly a premium company, the ship is too old, the furnitures are damaged, rusty paints on canine’s balcony, average food, savings have been made everywhere and it transpires on the ship, on the equipments and on the service. For that particular cruise selling the magical Chilean Fjords and Cap Horn is just a lie. You go around the fjords by night and never see anything impressive just ...

Friend and I had never been to South America. We figured this cruise would check that off the list as well as fulfill the desire to sail the Strait of Magellan. We flew into Santiago the day prior to the cruise and had purchased transfers to Valparaiso, almost two hours away. There were no taxis at all, Jan 2 is a national holiday in Chile. Would have been nice if Celebrity had realized this ...

We picked this cruise in 2017, and booked on last cruise as we had been to Antarctica and thought the Chilean fjords and around the Horn sounded great. Picked our tours on line, had our special C1 stateroom, over wake, and looking forward to cruise. Found out after final payment--our stateroom cost dropped almost to 1/2 our price--Celebrity was not easy to deal with-got a couple perks??? Then ...

Embarkation went smoothly enough. Meals in dining room not to my taste most nights so we ate in ocean view cafe. Mainly the stirfrys which were freshly cooked to order and were excellent, We found the ship activities to be lacking. Guest speakers... poor for trip what did Alaska act have to do with this Cruise? Very little info on ports except for a short talk on first sea day. Panama canal ...

We wanted to cruise Cape Horn and see Valpairaiso, "Glacier Alley: with five smallish glaciers within an hour’s sailing: Italia, Hollandia, Allemagne, Romanche & Espana, etc. But everything went wrong and the trip with Celebrity wasn't at all what we had payed for and expected ! 1. Celebrity Infinity could not leave in Valparaiso but instead the ship was leaving in San Antonio. Because of this we ...

We wanted to do the Christmas cruise around Cape Horn as we had previously been to South America and loved it. This was our eighth cruise with Celebrity, but our first disappointing one. The service was just not up to standard and we felt that they wanted us off the ship as three days before leaving the ship they started clearing items out the cabins. The shore excursions were very ...

We have waited until now to file our review on the infinity cruise mar 15-29 valpariso to fll. we had hoped our experience was unique to the crew and circumstances we encountered. not so most of reviews to date are not so nice. we also waited to see if celebrity would respond to our harsh feedback. nothing. we might as well be first time cruisers. In actuality we are Elite Plus having ...

Amazing Ports, Loved S. America but Disappointing Celebrity

Our cruise on the Celebrity Infinity was from Valparaiso cruising Northward seeing South America, Panamagg Canal and ending in Ft Lauderdale. Let me discuss some of the pre-cruise events. Our flight to Santiago was uneventful with the airport recovering from the 2010 earthquake which significantly damaged the International airport. Our private tour guides, Sergio and Annaliese from Perfect Day ...

We were on the Infinity on March 1st until March 29th, 2015. Had I not known the name of the Cruise Line I would have never, ever thought I was on the Infinity. I found the entertainment at night boring. So much so, that we would go to the shows and walk out due to boredom. I didn't find any activity that I could participate in. If you do not like trivia or dancing, you truly don't have ...

Up front: This was our 15th cruise. This was our 3rd cruise on Celebrity. This was our 2nd cruise on the Infinity. Something's happened to this cruise line (or at least this ship) over the past 17 months, and it's NOT an improvement by any means. OK, so they were plagued with Norovirus on the leg of the cruise before us. That meant that the cabins weren't open to us until 5 o'clock on the day of ...
