This was my 20th cruise - 3rd with Celebrity. Food in MDR and buffet was delicious. Deluxe Balcony cabin was spacious for the 2 of us. The deck 15 that was covered in grass was awesome. The blown glass venue was nice.

We chose Celebrity thinking we would get a better experience and more refined than we have on RYC (which have been great on the 3 cruses we have taken with them).

The cruise was pleasant enough but when we returned home we found our MasterCard had been charged for an unidentified item. Contacting Celebrity they informed us the charge was for items used from the mini bar. We, in fact, had not used any items from the mini bar during the entire cruise and, more to the point, had not authorised any payment.

We were on a combined visit to Easter Island (which was superb) and then a cruise from Chile to San Diego. We were very happy with our stateroom, which was spacious, very comfortable and had an excellent balcony and bathroom.The ship - Celebrity Eclipse - is a good size has an attractive range of amenities while never seeming too big. The infinity is definitely showing some age, some rust here and there, some fraying fabric on chairs and probably the most obvious is the state of the cabin bathrooms which are really in need of some overhaul. Wanted to visit Chile, Peru and Ecuador. Weather was perfect and the seas calm all the way.
Embarkation in Valparaiso was something! Remember embarkations like that YEARS and years ago! Happy it wasn't raining.

I thought that south america would be interesting. it was not we are world travelers with 35 cruises under our belt. the service and food was awful the main menu had cheek for dinner. do not go on this ship infinity it is terrible. 3/4 of the ship did not speak english. staff was not experienced. the ports were ok but look elsewhere to spend your cash. i always believed celebrity would do ...
