Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

We have sailed previously with Royal Caribbean and really enjoyed the layout of this particular ship. The Promenade deck was always interesting and they had a cool parade the first night. The VERY best thing was the magician/comedian. Best show I've seen on a cruise ship. The ice show and Temptations review were also very entertaining. Unless you eat a lot of red meat the food was sub par. Our ...

This was our eighth cruise, the fourth time with RCI. We had a very relaxed journey from start to finish. We are from Sullivan County (NY). Due to the late departure of the Brilliance and the fact that we had vacationed in Puerto Rico previously, we over nighted at the airport (EWR). We stayed in the Newark Airport Hampton Inn. We had a 9:30 Jet Blue flight and found not having to drive (a two ...

This was my 10th cruise on RCI. I have to say the last few years I had been finding that the service was not what it used to be but on this cruise this cruise was not the case. We had the BEST dining room service that we have had in years. Our waiter and assistant waiter went beyond what was expected and regularly told us if we were not happy to let them know right away as they wanted to meet our ...

Departed Old San Juan on the Brilliance after spending one pre-cruise night in the Milano hotel, where our room cost $150 and was no bigger than our cabin on the ship. Yes, and an inside room, with no window, 50-year-old furniture and mushroom carpet. The hotel was okay because right in the heart of the old city. All we did was sleep there, plus have the breakfast for $5.50 per person on the ...

I went into this cruise with reservation due to the time of year but my husband pushed me to go and I was very pleased we did. Having cruised with Royal Caribbean once before through the Panama Canal they did not disappoint us. This is the first time we cruised for the fun of it and not for the itinerary. Can't say to much about the islands we went to as they were all very similar and not ...

Just back from a back to back cruise on Brilliance covering Christmas and New Year. The ship looked great with a Christmas tree, lots of decorations and ginger bread houses. We've sailed on brilliance before and whilst it is an older ship the atmosphere is fantastic. Some evidence of wear but nothing major that we saw. The ship is going into dry dock in spring but all the talk we heard was of ...

We had a few kinks the first day on the boat which was annoying however the staff handled it so well that we really couldn't be upset. I didn't notice any issues with the ship or any updates needed. I was not aware any issues on the ship. As a person who enjoys a few cocktails - I highly suggest purchasing the drink package $55 a day for premium pkg. The only con is that it requires ...

This was my husband's last minute decision cruise ! and it was a great idea. Our first time with Royal Caribbean, a very good choice. The ship is for about 2200 guests - and around 800 employees. I have to say they where all great ! Friendly, very good service, a wide variety of nationalities, which just makes it so International. Since I like to mix with different cultures, I had a great time ...
