Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Crown Princess

I have just returned from an amazing week on the crown princess. This was my 6th cruise, 4th with a Carnival Corp company (Cunard, Holland America and Windstar) first with princess. After this last week, I will most likely never cruise with another line again. I traveled with my Mom for this cruise. She had Cat. I and I had Cat. C, they were nice enough to upgrade both of our rooms to those ...

To begin... Around the month of January, my wife and I decided it was time for another cruise. I began the ritualistic activities of searching all kinds of internet resources, including the usual Expedia, TravelZoo, etc. Then a friend of mine introduced me to two websites that changed my way of booking a cruise. First, I was introduced to this website. What greater way to learn about different ...

This was our 2nd cruise. Since our first cruise was on RCCL to Bermuda I wasn't sure that Princess could measure up to the great time we had. But my concern was for naught. The Crown Princess is a great ship and calmed any fears I had. We flew from Washington DC National Airport to San Juan with a change in Miami. Our travel agent booked the flights for less than half the price that Princess ...

We were in heaven for two weeks on the Crown on the 4/19 and 4/26 sailings. Six months ago when we booked, we tried to book 2 one week cruises (this would have been our 15th and 16th "Elite status" Princess cruises). However, Princess indicated to our travel agent that she should book it as one 14 day cruise. Even six months before the cruise, we couldn't book a mini-suite as all mini's and ...

This review is written from the perspective of having cruised on Royal Caribbean twice in the past, once on Sovereign of the Seas, and once on Mariner of the Seas. We are in our mid-forties, with no children. Pre-Cruise We stayed on day pre-cruise at the Caribe Hilton in the Punta Terra district of San Juan. While the hotel and grounds are beautiful, we would not stay here again because of the ...

My husband I took our 1st cruise on the Crown Princess in March. We were thoroughly impressed! We flew into San Juan a day early and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express. I wouldn't stay there for a week, but one night was okay. The room was small but we were hardly there. It was worth the savings. The ship was a beauty and check in was a breeze. We arrived shortly before Noon and we were in our room ...

My adult daughter and I have just returned from the March 29th to April 5th cruise on the Crown Princess. As background, this was our second cruise on Princess, and we have done 17 cruises in all. Over the past 20 years we have sailed on NCL, Holland America, RCCL, Costa, Celebrity, and Princess. Our last cruise was on the Enchantment of the Seas in August 2007. Getting There: We flew to San ...

Background: My wife and I had never been on a cruise prior to our week on the Crown Princess. Pre-Embarkation: We traveled through Atlanta on Delta Airlines arriving in San Juan on Friday 3/21 the day before our cruise. We were extremely happy with Delta and had no problems whatsoever with check in, flight delays, or luggage. We arrived around noon on Friday and took a taxi to the Caribe Hilton. ...

Don't let anyone tell you that travelling to the US from the UK is easy especially when it will take over 24 hours and three planes to get to San Juan. The long trip across 'the pond' (Manchester to Chicago - Chicago to Miami - Overnight in a hotel - then Miami to San Juan) and the fact that we had to sit separately on the flight from Miami to San Juan all pales into insignificance when you see ...
