We recently returned from 14 great days on Jewel, cruising from San juan to San diego celebrating our wedding anniversary. First a little about ourselves - this was our 8th RCI cruise, 11th in total. We are both in our early 40's. We stayed in the hilton caribe the night before the cruise which worked out fine - around $15 to the ship in a cab. Embarkation was very easy with no line at the ...

Mexico - Panama Canal - Central America Cruise - 14 Nights. Overall, this cruise was above average but less than very good. I am an RCCL Diamond level cruiser and this was my 15th cruise - 10th with RCCL - 1st on Jewel. PRE CRUISE: We flew out the day before and stayed at the Sheraton Old San Juan Hotel & Casino the night before. I thought by staying at this hotel we could just walk to the ...

This is the first trip in a very long time that I did not write a daily journal. I will try to record my impressions of the ship and ports as best I can remember. This was our first cruise on Celebrity (C). We have achieved diamond status on RCI, so our credits were honored by this sister company making us "elite". We booked this cruise quite a while ago, so due to price drops we were upgraded ...

Boarded in San Juan in less than 30 minutes. Luggage arrived at room by 5PM. Stateroom was neat and clean and accessible from a wheelchair. We opted not to get a beverage package but instead purchased the "stateroom bar package" which includes a beverage of your choice, mixer, and an assortment of nuts. This allowed us to have our cocktails on our own balcony before going to the early seating in ...

A Pleasurable experience on the Millennium

This was our first cruise with Celebrity and I must say overall we were quite pleased with the experience. Our last cruise was on a 2100 passenger vessel with another line and we were a little disappointed. We put it down to the cut backs to meet price points plus the ship size. So originally we were looking for a smaller ship of around 1200 to 1400 passenger range. Then I found the April 16 ...

After a red-eye flight from San Diego to San Juan, with a lay-over in Charleston SC, we started our first Celebrity cruise by checking into our OV cabin on the Millennium. Excellent Cruise despite a flu-influenced altered itinerary

We booked this cruise fairly late.. six weeks prior to sailing, and got an excellent rate on an outside cabin (no balcony). We flew to SanJuan the night before (4/17) and stayed one night at the Sheraton OSJ using 11,000 Sheraton points for a free oceanside suite.  Took a flat-rate cab to the RCI pier at noon, and despite recommended boarding at 5PM we were able to get right on board to start our ...

Just got off of RCL Serenade of the Seas yesterday after a 14 night westbound Panama Canal repositioning cruise from San Juan to our home port of San Francisco. By way of background we're a dual professional working couple in our 50's with grown kids and have 8 previous cruises. we reside in the SF Bay area. We booked this cruise while on another RCL So. Carib cruise a year ago. This was a ...
