We chose this cruise back in October, before omicron, because the price was a steal. When it cam close to the cruise date, we were beatinng whether or not to go (and lose $2000 if we canceled). but we were upgraded a week before to a penyhouse "suite", so it was hard to pass up. Two years ago Windstar announced the plan to stretch the Star ships increasing the guest capacity from 210 guests to 310 guests. This was a 5 day cruise from San Juan. We wanted to try another 5 ½ star ship. We had to turn in our rental car at 9 so we got to the ship early.
