While we chose this particular cruise because it included Dominica, after the island was removed from the itinerary due to Hurricane damage, we stuck to plan and studied up on the substitute port, Martinique. Since the recent hurricanes trips from Puerto Rico have become very attractive due to the constant price drops as the line attempts to fill the ship last minutes. It was unfortunate to learn that the beautiful island of Dominica (which the trip was going to visit originally) was understandably swapped out since the island was decimated by the hurricanes.

i took this criuse 4th time. i like it, but something are change.
The room services was bad, and now they charge $ for that service.

We arrived in San Juan the day before embarkation and stayed overnight in Old San Juan. I highly recommend arriving a day early because it took 2 hours for baggage claim and after a red eye flight and 12 hour travel schedule the extra 2 hours at baggage claim were exhausting! The ship has a fabulous itinerary the islands are fantastic! We had my time dining and had Katherine as our server and she was so fantastic we booked the table for the remainder of the cruise. San Juan is still pretty devastated. We stayed one day before and 2 days after. That being said the big hotels have all services and the port is in fine working order.
