Viva was fantastic, don't be swayed by critics

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Viva

Just came back from the 7 day Southern Caribbean on the Viva. Family of five with three teenagers. Overall, an amazing cruise....one of the best out of many we have taken. We are used to the mega ships of Royal, and I wondered if the Viva would feel too small. I quickly realized it's fine. It really is a beautiful ship. I read many negative reviews here, but once being on the ship, I ...

We went on a river cruise with Viking and the opportunity and time became available to try an ocean cruise. The river cruise would actually my first choice from now on, but the Viking ocean cruise was by far the best ocean one I have ever been on. A 5 for sure, the river cruise was a 5+.The food was always fresh and tasty with care alway on neatness and cleanliness while being presented in such a ...

I don't Understand all The fuss and Negative Reviews

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Viva

After booking this cruise, and reading all the negative reviews I fail to understand most of them. We sailed on the NCL Pride Of America on the last cruise before Covid hit, and was very impressed. When deciding to take a vacation this year, and after comparing all the other lines we have been on, (IE: Carnival and Princess) and NCL, we decided on this itinerary and ship. The ship being new and ...

This was my 15th cruise overall and sixth with NCL. Previously, I have sailed on Royal, Princess and Carnival. My DW and I find cruising to be a great value and an excellent way to spend a vacation. We chose the NCL Viva because it was a brand-new vessel, the price fit our budget and we love all of the ports, some of which we have visited multiple times (i.e. St. Thomas, Tortola and ...

Lots to do and a port-heavy itinerary!

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

This was a great trip. The Jewel is one of the smaller ships but it was perfect for this intinerary because it was so port-heavy. I wouldn't reccomend getting the drink package on this one. It seems like a great idea at first but if you plan to leave the ship every day to visit the islands, it would be more economical to just buy your drinks individually. We chose this cruise because we've ...

Thing to know - NCL Viva

If you check out the NCL Viva tour videos on Youtube, you will get a far better grasp of how the ship is laid out than I can present here. However, let me offer a few tips: All cabins 9750 and lower are located right above the Viva theater that turns into a disco at night. If you can't sleep with thump-thump-thump until 12:30 in the AM, stay elsewhere. The cabin itself is very comfortable, ...

We chose this cruise because we like the Radiance class ships and for the port intensive itinerary. Here is a recap of our cruise and final thoughts after returning. Recap & Final thoughts: Pre Cruise stay: 2 nights at Condado Ocean Club. Premium Oceanview room. We really liked this hotel. It was clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Staff was helpful and friendly. The view from ...

The cruise staff was awesome. The ship was very nice and easy to navigate. This is our first Viking Ocean and really enjoyed it. The stops were hit and miss a little but thats not Viking's fault - we signed up to see the Amazon River. I think the Spa also stood out as a great experience and enjoyed the hot to cold. The room stewards were amazing as they stocked our bar, catered to any request and ...

Wonderful cruise, fantastic food and service

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Viking Sea

We chose the Viking Sea for the itinerary and the cruise line. WE chose the penthouse jr suite and loved how spacious it was. I can't say enough about the food and the service which went far beyond our expectations, as we didn't know what to expect. We had always sailed on much larger ships. The intimacy of the ship, yet the privacy we found when we wanted it was wonderful. Although the age ...

My husband and I chose Viking based on a friend’s recommendation and published reviews. We chose the West Indies Explorer cruise to celebrate the Christmas holidays. Overall, we had a wonderful time. Ship: We loved the casual elegance of the ship’s design and furnishing. The ship’s small size made it easy to become familiar with its facilities and to get around. It was easy to get on and off ...
