This was our 10th cruise and the first on Celebrity. It was by far the best cruise we've ever taken. The ship is beautiful. The staff is exceptional, I became ill while .sailing and everyone went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable.. Our butler Tatiana and cabin steward Zam Zam were incredible. Dining in Luminae had excellent food and outstanding servers. Yuda was the best. ...
My husband and I loved the Summit years ago, and it hits a lot of our favorite snorkeling sites. There are many positive changes but NOT to the specialty dining, which is not for me.
In the past, we enjoyed the specialty restaurants and service. While enjoying the service and selection of regular dining options, we would NOT especially recommend the Petite Chef and were heartbroken about the ...
Good itinerary. Good value. Love to cruise from Puerto Rico - stayed a few extra days to make the airfare affordable.
Summit has had a remodel. Well executed. I loved Summit before, and it is still great.
Cruising from Puerto Rico is easy. Arrived evening prior, cab to Courtyard Miramar, cab to ship. 'Pueblo' Super Market across street if you need to pick up a couple bottles of ...
Friends of ours kept telling us how the Celebrity Summit was their favorite ship. We hadn't been on Celebrity for over 10 years. Seeing that it was recently refurbed, we decided to give it a look-see. We were not disappointed. We booked a Concierge suite. Having been on Princess' mini-suites, it was a little smaller, but well laid out. Balcony appeared to be bigger. Embarkation in San Juan was the ...
We departed out of San Juan. Our flight arrived at 4:30, so got to the ship late. Needless to say, the embarkation process was fast as nobody was there! We were on the ship in 10 minutes. Missed the muster drill, so had the makeup powerpoint presentation in a conference room - 10 minutes long and painless. Definitely better than the drill.
Our room was a veranda on deck 8. The ship has ...
We chose this cruise because four of the five islands were new to us and I really wanted to try out a "revolutionized" Celebrity ship.
We booked an AirBnb in the rainforest and rented a car from Charlie car rental. They are off airport, but have a shuttle, and even provided a shuttle to the pier after we dropped the car off. I'd highly recommend them because we got a new car and great service ...
I would actually give the cruise 4.5 stars if possible....This was my 3rd Celebrity cruise with the other 2 being in the Mediterranean on Constellation and Silhouette. It was my husband's first cruise ever. We had flown in to San Juan the day before, staying at a lovely, small guest house at a great location in Old San Juan- 352 Guest House. The Summit did not sail until later in the evening, so ...
We're Elite on Celebrity, but were a little disenchanted on this last cruise. I would say embarcation with the express pass was great, disembarcation easy also. We always carry our stuff off, and although directions were not consistent that morning, it was pretty easy.
We sprung for Aqua class and totally enjoyed eating in Blu. Excellent staff, excellent food. So why are we disenchanted? ...
We chose this cruise to accompany some friends who were newbies to cruising and as it visited islands we had never been to. The price was good too! We had sailed on Summit previously and all its sister ships as well as some Solstice class. Sailing out of Puerto Rico was fine but getting there from the U.K. is a bit of a hassle. It would have been preferable to go from somewhere in Florida. The ...
I just went on a Celebrity Summit cruise and the bathroom had a really smelly sewage smell. We were shown several rooms that also had that same smell. The room attendant said that the pipes needed to be fixed. I also experienced the same smell in one of the whirlpools. The food in the buffet made me really sick, maybe that’s because the chefs do not wear any gloves when they prepare the food. I ...
