Carnival Cruise Reviews for Senior from San Juan

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Freedom

We embarked on our cruise 09/29/2018. We had been on to other cruises with Carnival, the triumph and the magic. Those cruises were wonderful and we had a great time. When we 1st boarded the freedom we noticed that it seemed like we were back in the seventies and eighties on that cruise ship. I paid for the Internet on the cruise $97 never received Internet at all. The TV's are very outdated. It ...

Older Ship, but still very nice.

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Elation

The Elation is a somewhat dated ship, and some of the amenities on other Carnival ships are not present on the Elation. Things such as more intimate dining, and some other eateries. As always, he staff were excellent. This was a longer cruise, and after a few days, the food seemed to be a little repetitive. The comedy shows, music, and production shows were all ok. I have seen many of the ...

Not as bad as everyone says.

The Carnival Elation is not as bad as everyone keeps saying. Yes, it is older, smaller, a little worn, a few outdated styles & can feel the waves a bit more than the bigger ships, but I enjoyed the smaller ship with less people on it. I would recommend staying an extra night in San Juan at the Fortaleza suites & explore a bit. The hotel was an experience in itself. We also used Batey Zipline ...

Was not very elated with the Carnival Elation. We chose this cruise because of the itinerary, 4 ports we had not been to yet. Embark was quick...and pretty painless. They need a new cruise director that might add some lido sea day activities.....absolutely nothing going on....quite frankly...could hardly understand what he was saying when he did come on the speaker.....quite boring. Food was ...

10 Day Journey Cruise to the Southern Caribbean

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Elation

My partner and I have done 10+ cruises on several other cruise lines including Holland America, Princess, Royal Caribbean, and a few others. This Exotic Sothern Caribbean itinerary took us to ports I had never visited. I set my expectations low based on the recent reviews and the general negativity about Carnival from past cruise mates. I am glad to say that we were extremely pleased with this ...

Disappointing Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Valor

Took a western Carribean cruise and both my wife and I became sick just after getting off the ship. Both have viral infections and have missed worked since arriving back home. There was no conscious effort as there is with other cruise lines to sanitize passengers hands coming and going from ship or in dining facilities. Our balcony room was well kept and room stewards were great. The shows ...

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Carnival Dream

I hadn't cruised Carnival for 6 years. I think their older ships were hard to navigate, plus kind of neon gaudy. Also, the 7 night and shorter cruises have too many kids and drinking young adults. This time I went with a friend, there were 4 of us who met for a girls trip. However, I thought probably this longer Journeys cruise, being a one way from San Juan to NOLA, would have older ...

Good cruise overall, but it's the last with Carnival (at least for a while!)

This was our 6th cruise, 4th with Carnival. We booked this cruise because of the value and the ports of call and for the most part the cruise exceeded our expectations. However... The boutique hotel on Calle Fortaleza in OSJ was small but wonderful. We enjoy San Juan so much we wonder why anyone would choose to embark in Miami. Embarkation the next day was quick and painless. There was a HAL ...

A Wonderful Carnival Journey!

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Glory

This was our third cruise and third with Carnival and we chose it because we hadn't been to most of the stops- only repeat stop was St Maarten. Our stops were St Croix, St Maarten, Dominica, Grenada, Bonaire, Aruba and Caracao. We love all of what San Juan has to offer and we stayed 2 nights (before our cruise) at a hotel in the Condado area. We had a fast and easy embarkation and once booked in ...

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Glory

I considered myself a somewhat seasoned cruiser having been cruising since 2001, logging 20 cruises in that time; and in the process achieving Platinum status on RCL, Princess and Carnival. I say somewhat seasoned because I know many cruisers that consider me a beginner. That being said here is my impressions of the 11 night Journey cruise on the Glory out of San Juan. Ship: While having ...
