Nice Itinerary, Poor Layout

The Journeys cruise itinerary was good. Nice to go to some islands we had never been to. Overall an average cruise with Carnival. Food was good but not great. Guy's burgers were very good. The buffet was lacking on some days but good on others. The main dining room was the same. Some nights very good other just okay. Steakhouse was good but our companions meals were very fatty, not what we would ...

We took the 10-day Journeys cruise from San Juan to Port Canaveral on December 9. We selected this cruise specifically for the Journeys itinerary and added on-board activities, which for the most part were a nice addition. Embarkation in San Juan was really easy and the room was ready when we got on the ship. Always love that about evening departures. Debarkation in Port Canaveral had one of ...

I really enjoyed this ship. Boarding was easy in San Juan, the room was ready when we arrived (usually you have to wait hours), luggage came before dinner. The staff friendly and welcoming. I love the variety of restaurants, from Guy's Burger Joint to Mexican to Spanish and everything in between. Each restaurant area having their own theme didn't feel like the traditional "buffet" of a cruise ...

Starting back when this ship was called the Destiny, this is our third time sailing on the same vessel. I have to admit that this time I was not overly impressed. We missed the opportunity to book "Faster to the Fun", but were fortunate enough to receive an upgrade to a suite for a minimal charge. Because of the benefits of staying in a suite, including priority embarkation and debarkation, I ...

My wife and I sailed on the Carnival Sunshine with 3 other couples out of Puerto Rico December 9. We flew in the day before and boarded around 1 p.m. There were no lines and it was the fastest boarding we have experienced in the 12 cruises we have taken. They publish that boarding starts at 2:30 p.m. but we heard that they actually started at 10 a.m. We all thought that the food was great. We ...
