Great Time on NCL Viva

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Viva

Our family of 4, 2 adults and 2 elementary aged children sailed on NCL Viva during spring break on a full ship. Prior to sailing I read mixed reviews about the NCL Viva. Our family found the ship to be modern and beautiful. It took a few days to get acclimated with the layout of the ship. Pools and public areas of the ship typically got crowded close to all aboard time when people returned to ...

Overall a great ship. Brand new. Food on board was delicious. Drinks were well prepare most of the time everywhere, beer on the other hand can be colder for my taste. The game room and go karts were spectacular. Entertainment for example the betelgeuse show was wayyyyy to long. Half way half of the people were sleeping and other already left. Total.of 1 hours and 45 min... almost 2 hours i think ...

We wanted a unique trip to somewhere that would be difficult to arrange personally. The Amazon satisfied this requirement. The small ship also was important, since we are not fond of thousands of passengers for travel companions. The staff made our party of eight comfortable in all dining areas. We particularly enjoyed the different relaxing venues and exercise and locker room areas. We arranged ...

Background Information This was our 2nd Norwegian cruise (31st overall for me, 32nd overall for my husband) - we'd previously sailed separately on Norwegian Sky more than 10 years ago. When the Prima class was announced, we decided that this was a ship design very much to our liking. So we thought it was time to give Norwegian another try with a new ship more in keeping with the ships we've ...

Positives: We are experienced sea and river cruisers. With viking ocean, we have cruised on the viking star, viking sky and viking sea. Our recent cruise on the viking sea was the best of the three ships. The best feature of viking cruises is viking's overall logistical excellence. When they provide the air, you can count on viking to manage all connections or travel disruptions. the viking ...

Good Time on the Jewel

Overall, we had an very good experience. The crew was outstanding- knowledgeable, efficient and had good senses of humor. Food was a little uneven in the main dining room and certainly not to pre-pandemic standards. On lobster night, my wife and I had to laugh at the smallest tails we'd ever seen. We had a three night dining package and were disappointed in Chops Grille. It was nothing ...

This was our first time ever cruising, we picked this because one of friends were going and we wanted to start somewhere, we are definitely late to get on the bandwagon.. Let me start from when we landed.. Very well organized,we were picked up on time as soon as we landed, cleared all paperwork , embarkation was a cake walk.. no hassle at all..our rooms were ready , we packed one pair until ...

Booked this cruise because of the itinerary. I planned on visiting friends in both Barbados and Tobago, which I did. The only problem with the itinerary is the San Juan departure port which is cumbersome to get to. The Jewel although one of RCI's older ships was clean and well maintained and really doesn't show her age. Some aspects like the tiny pools and small windjammer buffet do harken to ...

Room: I was in a solo cabin. Lots of space. Despite the lack of windows, did not feel closed off and claustrophobic. The bathroom especially the shower was amazing. Restaurants: Loved the Indulge food hall. Lots of ethnic food options, but open only limited hours. The buffet was a madhouse and food was very very very mediocre, No options for vegetarians, vegans. Items not labaled as ...
