Fifth time on celebrity and second time on this itinerary. The summit is showing her age in some areas-especially in the ocean view cafe. Chairs are overly worn and need to be replaced-and not with the folding tables and chairs they’ve added! Staff was mostly good and friendly. This cruise, I realized that what I like most about sailing on the Summit is the opportunity to encounter the wonderful culture that its crew has created/maintained. We liked this itinerary. Wanted to see how all of the islands are recovering from the hurricanes. Most residents seemed upbeat, thanking those who have helped and are still helping in their recovery. Overall I had a good time with Celebrity Summit. Although it could use room for improvement. The communication between the ground and onboard staff needs to be improved. Ship is showing its age in places. Food is very good as are most of the staff. Would not pay full price for this ship. Overall I rate my trip 4 out of 5 stars. Arrived in San Juan, Puerto Rico the day before sailing and stayed at the Airport Best Western. No fooling-it was the smallest hotel room I have ever had.
