We had an incredible time with Celebrity on our Caribbean cruise. We started in Puerto Rico, going to St Thomas St John, St Maartin, Bermuda, then back to NJ (where we live), so we only had to take one flight, which was handy. This cruise was chosen specifically for the itinerary. Summit is an older ship, introduced in 2001. Although the public areas except for the Oceanview Cafe are updated, the staterooms are tired. It is scheduled for refurbishment in early 2019 but Celebrity has a tendency to delay replacement of chairs, couches, and bathroom sinks and mirrors. Very very very last minute (booked 2 days ahead) and the only room left was an Aqua Class Balcony room on 11th floor. Great room, location was terrific and near everything (directly above the buffet). After a disappointing trip on the Millennium left me wondering where the modern Luxury had gone, I seem to have found it on the Summit reposition from San Juan to Bayonne!
