Bed hard as a rock!

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

Staff very attentive and courteous. Bed was hard as a rock. The ship is dated and needs new carpet, drapes, furniture and beds. They should offer free up-to-date movies in room like other cruise lines. Would also be nice to have have coffee maker in room like Norwegian. Refrigerator doesn't keep items cold. When I asked housekeeper, she said it is more like a cooler, not a refrigerator. We cut a ...

First and most likely Last RC cruise

This was my 7th cruise overall, but first with Royal Caribbean (RC, for the sake of brevity). We chose RC because of their good reputation. We were extremely disappointed. Initial Embarkation: Although there are assigned boarding times, RC does not enforce them. This resulted in very long lines to drop off luggage and check in. Also, the luggage handler requested a tip from each person in ...

We wanted to return to the Southern Caribbean and this ship had the itinerary we were looking for. We have cruised at least a dozen times on various cruise lines and I'm sad to report that this was the worst experience we've had in over 8 years of cruises. We spent a day in San Juan prior to the cruise which was a lovely experience. Embarkation was smooth and quick. The ship is in good ...

Think twice Most times the distances are too long, to reach destinations that don't offer what is expected. For instance, they promote a unique snorkling experience, according to the Concierges its one of the best in the Caribbean, and what you actually get is a dead reef in Antigua. In Santa Lucia, there was a 90 minute trip to get to the start of the Pitons, suposedly a hot spring ...

Worst Trip Ever!! Royal Caribbean is the BOTTOM of Cruise lines!

My husband and I were excited to visit Aruba, Bonaire, & Curacao. While we have been scuba diving on numerous occasions in the Caribbean, we had never visited the Netherland Antilles. We are both certified PADI divers and both have over 1000 logged dives each. While my husband has more expertise in equipment repair & calibration, my experience is as both an IDC Staff Instructor & in Open Water ...

Traveled with immediate and extended family. Was just looking to relax, enjoy the sun and be pampered somewhat. Since we are both handicapped, we thought we would get this in a larger suite, which we were very disappointed with. We had already visited these ports, so excursions were not in our plans. The food was poor quality compared to our other cruises. Any good time we had, was because ...

Royal Caribbean really dropped the ball this time. I have been a loyal Royal cruiser since I was in high school with my parents and when my boyfriend and I started cruising together for vacations we of coarse we went Royal, even got the CC. We have traveled on the Adventure Of The Seas before (the two latest we were on) and had a lovely time with no issues. My boyfriend and I booked a room on the ...

Worse Royal Caribbean cruise in 7 sailings

Had been on seven previous royal caribbean cruises, three out of San Juan. My wife and I convinced some long time friends to take their first cruise on Royal Caribbean (RC) with us. Unfortunately there was a Taxi strike the day we arrived in San Juan. Not an issue related to the cruise other than the reason for a 3 hour delay wasn't revealed by the RC staff at the airport until after an hour ...

The ship should have remained in dry dock.

This was our 10th cruise, 9th with RCI. I was happy that the ship was coming out of dry dock a week before our cruise. Unfortunately, we were notified just before our cruise that the ship was not complete due to issues with the dry dock facility. Other than some remodeling jobs that were half complete, I could not se what was done to the ship. They added a new splash zone for the kids. This ...

No working toilet

I chose this cruise because of a special dance promotion, departing from Puerto Rico, hosted by a local radio station. The stateroom we had 2580 had issue with the toilet from day one. The toilet did not flush on the first day of the cruise. I was told it was a Vacuum problem. The rest of the week we encountered the same problems with our toilet, I had to use public toilet on other floors because ...
