Overall the cruise was mostly enjoyable. However where we were most let down was by the pre-booked flights arranged for us by Royal Caribbean. One week before departure a connecting flight was changed causing the entire booking needing alteration, had I not contacted them myself I don't think anything would have been done. Despite calling almost every day we arrived at the airport, 6.30am to ...
The cruise price was fair. Amenities good. A bit too noisy at times. Would have preferred an area(s) for relaxation and tranquility instead of the stateroom. However, the ship was beautifully designed; food was well prepared and presented to guests. The waiters were cordial and remembered by name those who were being served. Pleasant and courteous staff and willing to direct and help when ...
I have never cruised before. I choose this cruise, as my wife gifted me with this for my birthday and then proceeded to have me plan it. She wanted to do the southern Caribbean. I read other reviews and found that Royal Caribbean would probably be a good fit for us, we are in our 40's.
Our original cruise date was 9/30, but that was cancelled, so we rebooked for 10/21. All of that went really ...
I am a Royal Caribbean Cruiser and have been for 5+ years . The ship's appearance and up-keep are well maintained and the staff are friendly. I love the entertainment and activities provided. The cabin service was good and both the embarkation and disembakation went cleanly and very smoothly. With all of that said, my husband and I were excited and looking forward to our vacation aboard but we ...
This was my 16th cruise I have done. I have been on Princess, NCL, Carnival and Royal to name a few. A couple of years ago, my wife and I did a Canada/New England cruise with Royal on the Brilliance of the Seas. This was and still is one of, if not my favorite ship I have been on. Because of this, I was really expecting good things on this trip.
Leaving out of San Juan caused some issues ...
We were traveling with our 3 nieces and recommended to them to try RCI , and the itinerary suit us all to perfection.
Our main issue ( me & my husband ) was when the pipe burst) our carpet was flooded
actually 3 cabin were affected, it happened two days before our departure.. WE have to put up with the smelly carpet for two nights ( smells like a dead fish) .we have to spray perfume & air ...
We chose this cruise based on the itinerary and Royal Caribbean has always been a nice cruise line. Our opinion has dropped a lot based on the loss of:
Windjammer buffet now closes at 9:30PM
Ice Cream bar is gone from the Windjammer Buffet
Pool side grill is gone
Chops - food as not worth the extra $42/pp. Ambience was very poor - a group of drunks was singing (screaming) outside ...
-Embarking and disembarking went smoothly.
-Dining at the "Windjammer" in the morning was like a stampede, plus the noise of clashing dishes and silverware from the wait staff and mass amounts of people were very disappointing.
-Dinner at the main dining hall was great. The food could have been a little better, but the wait staff were outstanding.
-Shore excursions are always fun. ...
This is my second time on the adventure in the past 4 years. The trip overall was just okay. I can see the cost saving measures that rccl has implemented and was a bit disappointed with this trip.
Flew into San Juan the morning if the cruise and used a independent shuttle service to get to pier. After the quick ride, we arrived at the pier at 1:30pm and the line was out the door for first time ...
The ports were wonderful. We have taken over 20 cruises but had never been to Bonaire, Curacao or Aruba. Loved them all. St. Martin - have been there numerous times and could have skipped it. We did island tours and my husband had dives at two ports. All were great.
Ship rooms are very worn and in need of updating. Our room had a slight musty smell all week. Our balcony could not have ...
