Nice Cruise. Plus and Minuses - Really Bad Food

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

10 family members cruised (many for the first time) for a family holiday. The destinations were all awesome, even St. Thomas (even though it was clearly sad to see the devastation is still rampant). The stops were very appealing and we chose this cruise because of its ports of call. They did not disappoint. Pros: This is a large ship with a lot to do. It is clean and the staff goes ...

A mixed scorecard of good and bad for this cruise.

This was our 3rd sailing on the Adventure of the Seas and it was the least impressive, from the standpoint of the condition of our cabin and of more than a few of the public spaces on board the ship. Oddly enough, it was also one of the best in terms of cordiality, friendliness and great service provided by various crew members. It was stated by some crew members that this particular sailing was ...

We chose this cruise because we had sailed before on this ship and were somewhat familiar with its amenities and geography, and on that cruise 3 years ago, wanted and received the "Royal" impeccable cruise experience. Not this time though......Main Dining room was a real disappointment in the service leg of the cruise. We ordered breakfast and the staff did not come back to the table for 40 ...

Just came back from AOS cruise. We picked this because of the ports of call. They did not disappoint as we have been to all before. I was disappointed in the staff, ship & food. This of course is just a personal opinion based on my past experiences with other cruise lines. RCL was too noisy for us, "no matter" where we sat on deck and in the different venues. Food choices were typical - ...

Love the ship decorated for the holidays and the crew are always wonderful. Shows weren’t up to RCCL standard they were too loud and just plain boring There were hardly any guests in the theater so that explains how loud it was there wasn’t anything to buffer the noise. The Platters were ok for a copy cat band. The original Platters would have been in wheel chair or walkers. the ...

Disappointed

After sailing Adventure of the Seas last year, we were expecting much of the same. Instead, the RC representative I spoke with prior to sailing was extremely rude and was talking over me and wanted to argue. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful to say the least. On board, we experienced obnoxious children in abundance running freely throughout the ship unsupervised, knocking on cabin ...

The boarding and disembarkation is well executed unfortunatley we did not have time to see Puerto Rico. Our cabin was quite nice loved the balcony and the staff overall is fabulous they go all out, there is lots to do onboard andI liked the itinerary we loved the ports of call especially St Kitts, Antigua, St. Lucia and Barbados but found the locals in Martinique to not always be too friendly. ...

Chose this cruise over a year ago because of the itinerary - which was slightly changed due to the hurricanes. This was fine - and not a factor in my review. We were early to embark, had the 12:30 slot. It was raining and the process was not organized. Wet luggage delivered at 9pm - including the contents. I assumed that the luggage was kept under cover, but apparently not. This was ...

Food was not good

Concierge service was nice, especially the free alcohol at at happy hour. The attendants were nice and friendly. The food in the main dining room and the Windjammer was bland and tasteless. It was very disappointing. The staff throughout were nice, not great, but maybe I expect too much having been on many cruises now. The ports of call were good and the weather was great. The cabin ...

Too crowded

Adventure is a beautiful ship. In order to fill the ship, it seems Adventure offered great deals to the residents of Puerto Rico. However those of us who are loyal to Royal and booked some time ago, were the ones to suffer the overcrowded ship. The staff was super and did their best, but were overwhelmed by numbers. We were disappointed in the shows, nothing unusual or unique. The two female ...
