This is our 7th Royal Caribbean cruise and our second time on this particular ship. We chose this itinerary because we love the Southern Caribbean and find that flying in and out of Puerto Rico is rather easy for us. I was initially worried about getting in and out of Puerto Rico after the hurricane, but it went very smoothly aside from a change in our flight time leaving much later than ...
The ship and staff was mostly good. Not outstanding. Our dining waitress was great, and the head waiter was very attentive.
Did not like that the solarium and pool bars opened late, no morning Bloody Mary.
The staff failed to invite me to the Cruise Critic gathering, and to the Crown and Anchor party.
The staff messed up my Visa card registration and charged it all to my travel ...
We chose to go on this cruise in March of 2017 after going on a 3 day cruise to the Bahama's which was very nice. We had a good time overall but had several glitches including airline changes which were attributed to the issues in PR. Our room on arrival had some sort of water issue with the carpet outside the bath and closet being wet. The staff had a blower going when we arrived. It took 3 ...
I'd like to start off and recognize our waiters Saturnino and Komang. They were so friendly, attentive, anticipated our requests, went out of their way to get to know us, and made us feel special by providing extra options/additions.
we did 3 excursions--all were great! Plantation and Beach in St. Kitts, Beach and Turtles in Martinique, and Atlantis Submarine in Barbados.
We celebrated ...
We had a great time on our Adventure cruise. The food was wonderful and the service in the dinning room was excellent. Of course there were more things to do than time to do them, but we made the most of our time.
Our room was good, but the bathroom had a urine odor at time. One the last day (our only at sea day) we had a pipe break and our room flooded. I think they did the best they could to ...
Loyal RCCL cruiser (Diamond). Sad that St. Martins is still recovering but St. Kitts seamlessly added to itinerary with best shore excursion of the cruise (did the kayaking and snorkeling which was great). Staff very passionate about the recovery work they helped perform. Overall, a good cruise with excellent service aboard the ship. Officers some of the most approachable I have ever met, ...
Unbelievable how well Royal Caribbean handled this cruise after the hurricane. The staff had been through so much prior to our boarding but they were the best of any staff I can ever recall. Remarkable how well embarkation and disembarkation went considering the circumstances in San Juan. Only complaint would be muster. Standing outside in the extreme heat waiting for inconsiderate passengers ...
I am a loyal Royal Caribbean cruiser. The prices are reasonable. The ships’appearance and upkeep are well maintained. The staff for the most part is friendly (one exception, I found the Guest Service Staff to be rude at times and not friendly — they are in need of customer service training). As usual the room attendants and wait staff (dining room, restaurants, bars, and Windjammer) were great. ...
Overall this cruise was very relaxing. There were 5 ports of call so there were plenty of opportunities to get off the ship and explore the islands. If you want to see St. Kits I recommend booking an excursion. There is not much at the port except shopping. The rest of the ports were great. We did two walking tours on our own and two excursions.
As for the food on board we found the dining room ...
First I want to say that my regret is that I did not get the contact info of some wonderful people we met. This was the first cruise out of San Juan after Hurricane Maria. We met a wonderful couple from Puerto Rico and now I keep wondering how they are doing after returning home. Luis and Miguel if you read this post please look for my comment on the Cruise Critic Facebook page and contact me. ...
