I picked this particular cruise because I wanted to spend as few days at sea as possible. I am more about the island hopping and seeing new places than the ship experience. This cruise was heading to St. Maartin, St. Kitts, Antigua, St. Lucia and Barbados. This was exactly what I was looking for; several islands and only one day to get back to port. We had an excursion picked at every island. ...
We chose this cruise because of it's port of calls, especially Antigua, St. Lucia and Barbados. Unfortunately hurricane Maria had us on the run after day one. We ended up visiting Aruba and Bonaire as a consolation. Aruba was nice, but I wouldn't recommend Bonaire. Aside from our itinerary changing 100% (did not visit one port that we originally purchased) the food was no where near the ...
Due to hurricane Irma, Royal Caribbean communicated we would get an overnight at Aruba as St Maarten was inaccessible. Then just before we were set to leave the port at San Juan, we were told that they would change the itinerary to pick up evacuees from St Maarten, resulting us in having 3 instead of 4 port days. While it's noble to try to help in hurricane relief efforts, I don't think it ...
About one third of the passengers were very loud and pushing their way through crowds. They did not understand how to board elevators - insisted of boarding before those in the elevator could exit.
Two of three excursions were cancelled on us, one with no notice (this did NOT include the St Martin cancellation from the hurricane).
Room service did not deliver our breakfast on one of three ...
Had a balcony cabin...smaller than most...the entertainment was Below average..no talents..service on board average..and food selections..minimal, small potions..and most of all Luke warm entrees..the itenerary was the Only good thing ..which is Why we chose this ship to start with!We are experienced cruisers..been on 28 cruises and have always heard Great things about this ship!well...we found ...
Royal Caribbean did not provide adequate accommodations for those with Mobility issues. They were offered online but when it was time to register for them on the ship they were not for those with mobility issues. This cruise line also wanted 21 days notice to go on a excursion which is absolutely ridiculous! When you enter the buffet dining room there are no special seats for the handicapped and ...
We chose this cruise based on the port of calls. I have cruised with Celebrity, Carnival and NCL so RC was supposed to be an improvement. Don't believe it! The two "world class" Broadway style shows were more like a high school show or something that stepped out of the 70's. If you saw one show, the other was the same other than choice of songs. it was a little creepy they had an old man playing a ...
We choose this cruise for the Port of Calls that the big ships cannot go to. The service on this cruise was fair at best. We had an issue with the dining but after we talked to the head waiter there were not anymore issues but I wonder why there were problems to begin with. We had problems with the Photo department. After complaining the problem was resolved why did we have to complain?
It ...
Very disappointed with appearance of the ship. Definitely needs over hauled. My bathroom had mold, my balcony was dirty.
The casino director didn't get the action in the casino the way they should.
They took us to Martinique instead of St. Lucia. It rained that day and they had NO extra activities for us.
People were wearing jeans and shorts in the dining room the entire week ...
We wanted to go to the Caribbean and we told Royal Caribbean was very good. Sadly it was not. It was out third cruise and after this experience it may be our last cruise. It was like a floating Motel 6. The food was mediocre at best. The same thing for lunch everyday buffet style. The food was always cold and the food could be found at any cheap, all you can eat buffet for $7.99. We were on deck ...
