HOW DISAPPOINTING CAN A CRUISE BE????

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Ruby Princess

We were so very disappointed with this cruise from the outset to our return! First, the princess app was the first disappointment. it oftentimes did not work and was ineffective. we tried doing everything right the first time to avoid any problems, but management of the app was just not on top of things. (a) i could not get my grandson into the green lane; i called several times, and we were ...

Still a great ship

We decided to return to Alaska and have been on the Ruby princess before. From the Captain to Stewards everyone was spectacular. We were celebrating a birthday, an anniversary, and Father's day. Cannot say enough good things about the staff. The food on this ship was better than other ships in the same fleet. With exception of the dessert specialty or otherwise - all the desserts we tried were ...

We recently embarked on an unforgettable journey to Alaska from San Francisco with Carnival Miracle Cruise. From the moment we stepped onboard, the warm and welcoming crew made our experience exceptional. The ship offered a wealth of activities, delectable dining options, and captivating entertainment, leaving no room for boredom. The cabins were clean and in excellent condition. My niece, a ...

Lack of concern for passengers health and wellbeing

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Ruby Princess

I believe that the cruise industry as a whole has taken a don't ask, don't tell attitude regarding health of passengers and crew. We were on a 10 day Alaska cruise. Sickness seemed to be engulfing the ship and by disembarkation you could not escape it. I did an unofficial survey post cruise from a group Facebook page asking about those that became sick either on board or shortly thereafter. Of ...

Wanted to see Alaska again without traveling to Seattle or further--mistake San Francisco port is not worth it, never again. The line to drop luggage was an hour long, only 2 porters for 5000 people! Oh and no restrooms until heading to ship! Then another line to get to go inside terminal, we went to platinum and up line and it took twice as long as regular line, there were not enough carnival ...

Overall Princess knows how to visit Alaska and they do it well. The itinerary was wonderful, Sitka, Haines, Glacier Bay, Juneau and the not so wonderful Prince Rupert. The voyage was rough going but fortunately neither of us gets motion sickness, we enjoyed walking the empty outside decks and really blustery FRESH AIR. This was a full ship. Embarkation in San Francisco was a breeze. We headed ...

Not our favorite cruise

We had to use cruise credits and didn't want to fly anywhere so it was really easy (we thought) going out of San Francisco as it is only an hour from our house and we can take the Vallejo Ferry to San Francisco. Great Ferry ride over the bay and called Lyft to take us to the Pier which is just under a mile. Took 35 minutes in the car as traffic was so bad (great driver though). Finally got to ...

Mediocre

Alaska was beautiful. As far as the cruise part of it, the food was not impressive at all. The flavor was just not there. Many items were not labeled. For people with food allergies or being vegetarian, that can be a problem. The things that were supposed to be in my parents stateroom were not provided ( toilet riser and hand held shower nozzle) The entertainment was just ok. The entertainment and ...

Princess has really gone downhill, which is a view shared by at least two senior members of staff onboard. Honestly, you couldn't pay me any sum of money to go on another princess cruise. Quick overview: my next few paragraphs are issues around food safety. After that it's what i wish i'd have known before i booked. Food safety My main issue is around food safety. If you have any dietary ...

5 Star Service with 1 Star Food

We're Elite with Princess, Club/Reserve Mini Suite Level and sail with them 2-3 times a year and just returned from a 7 day Calif Costal Cruise. I have no problem rating Guest Service at 5 Stars throughout this cruise and our 2 previous cruises in 2022. Despite having access to the Club/Reserve Dinning Room, we've noticed that since the Covid reopening Princess's food quality and variety has ...
