Relaxing trip from ocean to ocean

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Coral Princess

We chose this cruise for 2 reasons: Embark from SF and the Panama Canal passage. Embarkation with Princess in SF is consistently one of the best experiences we have ever had. We showed up at the port when we were instructed to and were on the ship in all of 7 minutes after leaving the car. There was no lines anywhere, we walked through security, got our ship cards, and walked on the boat. ...

This was our 20th cruise and 7th on Princess, so we are familiar with all things Princess. We chose this itinerary because we like San Francisco and wanted the stops in different countries before and after the Panamá Canal. The timing (November 17 departure) fit our schedule and we were very fortunate with the weather; we had only one day of rain, that being an all day rain on the day of PC ...

Hello all, I took a bit of time to settle back from our cruise to fully digest all the activity. Positive Points: - Our cabin steward, Kurt was fantastic. We had an issue of me leaving dirty dishes outside our cabin after we had room service. I guess I was the one at fault here as I did not know to call Room Service to pick up the dishes instead of just leaving the dirty dishes by our ...

We had never seen the Panama Canal and this time worked well with our schedule. The shipboard entertainment in the evening was varied and of good quality. We particularly enjoyed the violinist and piano duo of Consonance and the choice of comedians, musicians and singers were excellent for such a small ship. The food was very good at all meals and at times excellent. The excursions were a mixed ...

We heard how good Princess is and we had traveled last year on a Princess. We wanted to see the Panama Canal and the cruise sounded just what we wanted. Embarkation and disembarkation went so very smooth. We were impressed. The service was awesome and our cabin sparkling clean thanks to our cabin steward. Was very much disappointed in that we were unable to take our scooter on the tenders and ...

The last cruise we were on was on an Oceania ship. We were spoiled and were not expecting that much from Princess. We were pleasantly surprised as it was lovely. The food on Princess is not as yummy as Oceania but everything was pretty good. The turkey dinner on Thanksgiving was surprisingly good considering how many people ordered it. We chose this cruise because our kids live in San ...

We chose this cruise as a must do - bucket list. The ship was clean and well maintained. The staff and crew were courteous, kind and helpful. The food in all restaurants was excellent. The cruise director and his staff kept us busy and well informed throughout the cruise. The tenders at the port of calls were fast and efficient. The tours we were on were great. There is a lot of variety for all ...

Norwegian Sun Repositioning Cruise November, 2009 November 1 & 2, 2009 We stayed at the Radisson at Fisherman's Wharf. Small rooms but clean and strategically placed near the Wharf and only ½ mile from Pier 35 where the Norwegian Sun docks. An IHOP next door for inexpensive food. Had a great night dinner on Columbus Avenue at an Italian Restaurant offering a red long stemmed rose for ...

Overall we had a great time! The ship NCL Sun is in need of refurbishing as it's showing it's wear and tear. We were in an "aft" cabin and have never experienced soot like we had on this cruise but the room stewards who were very good stayed on top of it.The cruise was about 75% full. Embarkment and Disembarkment for us was a breeze due to being Latitudes gold. Entertainment The Jean Ann Ryan ...

Background: This was our fourth cruise with NCL . Having experienced Freestyle cruising before, we knew what to expect and have only cruise with NCL prior for this very reason. Pre Cruise: We flew in to San Francisco 3 days prior, as we had not been there before. We stayed at the Hyatt Fisherman's Wharf and could not recommend this hotel enough. The rooms were very clean and ...
