Very comfortable, excellent service and food

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

We sailed for 18 days from San Francisco to New York via the Panama Canal. Prior to the cruise we had a one day tour of Muir Woods and Sonoma, with lunch in Sonoma City - a lovely small town. Embarkation and disembarkation were the only disappointments, and Regent is not at fault. The 3rd party handler in San Francisco failed to provide transportation to the ship for the majority of ...

Wonderful cruise, ship, service and experience

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Seven Seas Navigator

As wary cruisers we wondered if we were risking too much committing to a 29 day cruise? Not a problem at all! We selected a cabin midship with no balcony and found we had plenty of options to sit quietly on deck if we chose to. Being low and in the middle, our cabin was very stable and we had a smooth journey for 29 nights. Reports of wild weather nights surprised us. The cabin was ...

Great Service & Food.....Terrible Cabin Vibration

We were first time REGENT cruisers, although we have cruised MANY times before on Celebrity, Princess, Azamarra, etc......This was a 18-night "Panama Canal" cruise that started in SF on July 20 and ended up in Miami.on Aug 7. Ship was very small and intimate, nicely refurbished. Cabin was VERY large and very well designed, but we were on the 8th deck in Cabin 868 and the vibrations from the ...

Lousy boat ride to Alaska

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

We just returned from our voyage from Alaska and I have to say it was very disappointing. We have been on 3 other Regent Cruises and all have been excellent. Let me start out by saying the crew, food and accommodations where excellent. We are a silver member and did not receive one ship credit which I found a little discouraging to begin with. Regarding our voyage we booked all our ...

Alaska the amazing!

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

Alaska, not just on the bucket list. We have seen all kinds of TV programs on Alaska and wanted to get a close up, first hand view. Embarkation was smooth with bus picking us up at Mark Hopkins Hotel, but disembarkation needs a lot of work... too chaotic with local buses and it felt like Regent just washed their hands of us once we stepped over the door threshold. Ship: Mariner needed to be ...

A Little Disappointed

We chose Regent due to the "all inclusive" pricing. However, we were somewhat dissatisfied this trip (our third cruise with Regent). The long wait to be transferred from the Mark Hopkins Hotel to the pier was not good. We had to wait almost two hours. No explanation as to why the wait was so long, no one was offered water while waiting, and many people had to stand around. Some of the ...

Not to Expectations This Time

We have sailed with Regent twice before, found it 6 star and hoped for the same but were sadly disappointed. Everything on board Mariner had a veneer of quality but not the depth. Apart from receiving a captain's broadcast at noon daily, no one actually saw him. Nor did ship's officers mingle or appear other than very briefly. We saw steak dishes rejected in the specialty steak restaurant twice! ...

Disappointing this time

Having enjoyed previous cruises with this company we had high expectations but were disappointed. Superficially everything looked good but quality was not deep. We saw steaks sent back in the steak speciality restaurant, some staff struggled with The English language, we saw the captain once only, on his rapid multi-deck 15 minute walk, ship's officers never hosted dinners, one usually needed to ...

Iconic Panama Canal from SF to NYC

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

This cruise was offered to us at a considerable discount in return for relinquishing a similar itinerary on Explorer. We liked that it started in San Francisco and ended in New York. Staff was wonderful for the most part, and we felt pampered throughout our cruise. The cabin (concierge D) was smaller than expected and quite cramped, but our steward and stewardess supplied our every need with ...

Return to Alaska

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and date together with value for money. We had been to Alaska some 18 years previously on Holland America. There is no doubt that this ship, and the suites look tired and need updating however everything worked in our suite but the shower in the bath was difficult to get in and out especially if the ship is rolling in rough seas. The steward service ...
