wanted to see something different without flying so chose this cruise. Left our of San Francisco and most of the time the weather made the ship a little rocky so had to be careful walking on the ship. but we were able to dance for the most part which is a lot of what we like to do and I was able to take the Zumba and dance classes but had to be careful of the ships movements. I think maybe it ...

I chose this cruise to go up the Pacific Northwest coast. Astoria was a delightful town. The tour we took was one to Ft. Stevens and our guide was extremely knowledgeable and a delight in her presentation. The Ft. was interesting because it was where a Japanese sub came right in too Am. waters. The dock in Seattle was perfect as we were able to walk to Pikes Market, Chihuly museum, The Space ...

We sailed with Princess before so we knew what to expect. A great experience and an attentive, friendly staff. We hope to sail with them again soon. We went to Astoria, Oregon; Seattle, Washington; and Vancouver, BC, Canada. We were supposed to go to Victoria as well, but the weather started acting up and we returned to San Francisco early. Princess concerns itself with passenger safety and it was ...

I choice this cruise for the itinerary that included Vancouver and Victoria Canada unfortunately our stop to Victoria was canceled for some nonsense reason about the weather. The weather was rough from the beginning of our cruise. I didn’t see the reason to cancel Victoria’s Port. Astoria, Oregon. Pointless. Not interested at all but didn’t want to stay on the ship. That’s why we booked an ...

I chose this cruise since it did not involve a flight for my elderly mother. Prior to the cruise I read many reviews complaining about the ship. I am not sure why the reviews are so negative. The Grand Princess is an older ship but well maintained. I did not notice any major maintenance issues in public areas. During the cruise I ate at both specialty restaurants, the Chef's Table, Pub ...

Favorite cruise line. However here are worth wile notes Coastal Grand Princess 10/13/19 Safety Drill: Safety Drill should include importance of silence by passengers and STAFF specially during an incident as we had on this voyage. #1. Public announcements should only be made by well spoken English speaking staff. 1st announcement made was totally unintelligible and most ...

Alaska great, ship disappointing

We stayed in one of the larger suites C409 (Penthouse), and we're disappointed mainly regarding the balcony, although the cabin was dated. The furniture was old with black mildew on most surfaces and in disrepair. The lounge chairs had stained cushions that were often wet, and the hardware was so corroded that they could not be adjusted. With that said, the crew was overall very nice. The food was ...

The cruise was a bucket list item for us. It came highly recommended by many friends and family who had taken the same cruise. It was a great way to celebrate my retirement and our 30th wedding anniversary. It was everything we expected and more! We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The ship was certainly GRAND and beautiful. So many things to do and see on board. Our room was ...

We chose this cruise for the departure port and itinerary, but I wouldn’t change anything. The ship is older and doesn’t have all the wizz bang features of the new ships, but that’s not why you cruise to Alaska. I didn’t notice any maintenance issues or problems with cleanliness. No funny sewerage smells or problems with air conditioning. Our stateroom was always clean and very comfortable. The ...

I specifically wanted to go thru Tracy Arm Fjord and was not disappointed with this cruise. Crew members were amazing, scenery was indescribable and passengers are now considered friends. We enjoyed exploring Sitka alone while participating in excursions in Haines and Juneau. Disappointed with the minimal time available in Victoria, Canada but I hadn't expected to want more time. What a ...
