I like the service and restaurants, the foods were delicious

This was my first time to cruise with Princess. I had a good impression about the cruise. The foods were so delicious and plenty of choices. The decorated deserts were so beautiful and of course it tasted so yummy. I really recommend everyone must try a vacation with princess cruise. I do not eat breakfast often but on this cruise I never skipped breakfast. They have so much foods to eat. The ...

ROYAL Princess - not quite up to "Royal Class" expectation

Review for Royal Princess to Pacific Coastal

We have sailed over 300 days on Princess ships and chose to take this as the Royal Princess is a "Royal Class Princess ship" sailing out of San Francisco. No question it is a beautiful ship, spotlessly clean. We had had earlier experience in 2022 on Regal Princess in Europe and expected the same standard on the ROYAL Princess. To our complete and utter dismay we were in for a huge disappointment ...

Excellent Cruise- the opposite of every negative review I read on this site

This was our first cruise with Princess, and my second cruise ever (the first cruise was with Carnival in 2005). Re traveled aboard the Ruby Princess, to the Pacific Northwest. The ship is extremely seaworthy and very beautiful. I have read a lot of negative reviews prior to the cruise, and wanted to post a different review to ease concerns others reading these reviews may have. My only ...

This cruise was chosen because it departed from my home city; I am a disabled senior and traveling is difficult. I have stage 3 cancer treated with radiation which makes standing very difficult/painful, and I am vegan. Additionally I have Coronary Artery Disease. Princess assured me that they would be able to accommodate the needs of my disability as well as my dietary needs, and Princess ...

Come back with Covid

Review for Ruby Princess to Pacific Coastal

Princess has relaxed their Covid protocols in the past 2 months, with predictable results. We cruised on the Ruby to Hawaii in February. In addition to requiring a negative test taken within 48 hours of boarding, they also did a rapid test on ALL passengers at the pier before boarding. Passengers were again tested a few days into the cruise. On the ship, social distancing was maintained with ...

Covid on Ruby Princess

May 4, 2022 Walter Princess Cruise Survey: The cruise was overbooked with too many passengers and not enough crew. There was utter chaos when people had to stand in long lines to get food for lunch and were bunched up close together. There was no social distancing in the long lines. There is too much Covid on these ships among the staff (even entertainers and engineering crew). How is it ...

Fantastic with a bad ending

My previous Princess cruise was so great, I booked my next right away. I honestly didn’t care where. Like the last, it was amazing. The problems didn’t arise until the last day. I used a low-limit credit card for my onboard expenses (zero foreign transaction fees). An unanticipated number of unsettled authorizations put me “over limit.” I received a call in the morning of disembarkation and ...

Ruby Princess Food Fiasco

We have been on Ruby Princess 5 times since the restart of Cruising. The food quality in particular in the Buffet and Main Dining Room have been steadily declining. We were on Discovery Princess and were pleasantly surprised how good the food was. Ruby Princess does not have Hand washing stations installed in the Buffet. Even the Grand Princess have hand washing stations in the buffet. The Crew ...

Many will not like this review. They will say I am negative, can't say anything good and that I am just horrible to write such things about a cruise that "I" experienced. Notice, I said "I". If they were on this cruise they might feel the same. I will start with the good things. The staff was spectacular. They went above and beyond, especially since they were over worked . More ...

Princess Under Staffed and Unprepared to Manage a Cruise

Review for Ruby Princess to Pacific Coastal

User Avatar

Princess was totally not ready for this cruise. To begin, there were customers standing outside for 3-1/2 hours in order to get to the check-in area. Once on the ship, there was not enough staff or trained staff to handle the 2,552 passengers. Waiting in line was a daily experience in many areas. Poor execution of excursions - not prepared, not researched and definitely overpriced. ...
