Best 10 days of my life!

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Carnival Miracle

My daughter, her husband, and my granddaughter (2 years old) invited me to go with them. This would have been my 50th Anniversary with her dad. He died 16 years ago. We were suppose to go on this cruise for our 50th Anniversary. It was very important for me to go at this time. It was a fantastic cruise. We had the best days, which we were told they only have 45 good days a year! We actually saw ...

Cunard line, terrible

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

Our first time on Cunard line, Queen Elizabeth, it will be our last, definitely no where near as good as what I expected. The staff on board, we’re amazing ( but let’s face it they are working for tips) the staff who wore the white uniforms, didn’t even acknowledge you, they would look the other way or chat with the other person they were with so they didn’t have to acknowledge you. The ...

San Francisco to Fort Lauderdale via Panama Canal: Beautiful Ship, but Surprisingly Low Standards

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

I chose this voyage because I wanted to go through the Panama Canal, and also sail on the Queen Elizabeth for the first time. I am a solo traveler. I had already sailed on the Queen Victoria once, and the Queen Mary 2 three times. I have been fascinated by ocean liners since I was ten years old, and this is why I am drawn to Cunard ships. Cunard has always taken pride in carrying on the ...

No Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese food

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Ruby Princess

We chose Princess Ruby because it sails from San Fransisco. We liked many activities and entertainment. But very disappointed that it has very limited Asian food that you can only find in buffet area. Even the limited Asian food tended to be Indian food or Tai food. The bar quality are not consistent. Sometime are strong while other time are week. Coffee some time are stale while other times ...

Disappointed

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Ruby Princess

We had a great time on the cruise. I am diabetic and was happy to see sugar free desserts. I love my coffee and was glad to see the expresso being served. My wife is not fond of sweet desserts and was glad to have so much fresh fruit available. All of the staff were so nice and caring, always willing to help. I was really impressed with them all; waitstaff, housekeeping and the crew. Our ...

Alaska is always nice but ship needs maintenance.

This was a long planned family cruise including my mother, my brother, and both of our families. Fourteen of us, in all, including three great grandchildren. It was a first cruise for the grand and great-grand generations. The rest of us are spread out from Ruby to Elite in Princess’ Captain’s Circle/Medallion program. We had great weather at all of our ports. The only weather impact was fog ...

Cruise was ok but, could or should have been a lot better.

We choose this cruise mostly because it sails out of San Francisco and we live within an hour of SF. Also, we have always wanted to do an Alaskan cruise and not having to deal with air travel or hotels was a big plus. This was our first Princess cruise. Our previous cruises have been on Royal Caribbean. Here are some things I preferred on the Ruby Princess. 1. The drinks. Don’t know ...

Very Disappointing Cruise

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Ruby Princess

We chose this cruise because we could drive to the port of San Francisco. Ten day Alaska cruise. We had a balcony and the Premiere package. We have been on six previous cruises - Carnival, twice on Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, and this would be the second Princess. This is a long review - just too many disappointments in most areas. We were so disappointed with the service, food, ...

I sailed with Princess to Alaska in the past and I brought my whole family to experience Alaska with Princess this time. This cruise did not disappoint, and my family was able to see more sea life such as whales, fish jumping, and a truly massive salmon in the wild on this cruise than they had seen before on any vacation. My family is already planning our next princess cruise back to Alaska. ...

Ship's staff culture is unbothered, uninterested, and impolite

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Ruby Princess

We have sailed the Ruby twice in the past year (two different itineraries) and are sad to report that it has continuously gotten worse. The other negative reviews you see below, for the Ruby, are not lying. The ship's condition, staff, and dining needs a major overhaul. We are Captain's Circle Platinum so I am not just being biased to another cruise line when I write this negative review. This ...
