We like leaving from the port of San Francisco. Wanted to see the Panama Canal. It was a long cruise, 17 days. The ship is nice, but we were disappointed with what they called a penthouse. It is very small, nice bed & bedding, little TV about 20", and only 2 plugs for American voltage! Bring a power Strip! The ship is very clean, very good food, nice staff. This cruise was offered to us at a considerable discount in return for relinquishing a similar itinerary on Explorer. We liked that it started in San Francisco and ended in New York. Staff was wonderful for the most part, and we felt pampered throughout our cruise.
