Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

We sailed for 18 days from San Francisco to New York via the Panama Canal. Prior to the cruise we had a one day tour of Muir Woods and Sonoma, with lunch in Sonoma City - a lovely small town. Embarkation and disembarkation were the only disappointments, and Regent is not at fault. The 3rd party handler in San Francisco failed to provide transportation to the ship for the majority of ...

As wary cruisers we wondered if we were risking too much committing to a 29 day cruise? Not a problem at all! We selected a cabin midship with no balcony and found we had plenty of options to sit quietly on deck if we chose to. Being low and in the middle, our cabin was very stable and we had a smooth journey for 29 nights. Reports of wild weather nights surprised us. The cabin was ...

We were first time REGENT cruisers, although we have cruised MANY times before on Celebrity, Princess, Azamarra, etc......This was a 18-night "Panama Canal" cruise that started in SF on July 20 and ended up in Miami.on Aug 7. Ship was very small and intimate, nicely refurbished. Cabin was VERY large and very well designed, but we were on the 8th deck in Cabin 868 and the vibrations from the ...

We loved this cruise. My husband has Celiac Disease and they went over the top to make sure he was able to eat well. One helper in the buffet even prevented a near disaster and warned my husband not to eat something. Our waiters during dinner did a great job of taking care of us. It was also so easy because we took a shuttle to San Francisco and didn't need to do any flying. We love sailing ...

This cruise was offered to us at a considerable discount in return for relinquishing a similar itinerary on Explorer. We liked that it started in San Francisco and ended in New York. Staff was wonderful for the most part, and we felt pampered throughout our cruise. The cabin (concierge D) was smaller than expected and quite cramped, but our steward and stewardess supplied our every need with ...

The total cruise was very good, up to the expectation for Regent. Having spent over 400 nights on various of their ships, this did not alter my high expectations and observations. We had some bad luck with the weather, Hurricane edge off of Mexico-some deep holes in the water to go through- but the ships and crew seemed to handle it well-the guests were very quiet!. Jamie and Dana Logan ...

Over all, Horrible crew, Very poor service, at times confrontational. Smell of sewage overwhelming in both of the rooms we booked. Ship in poor condition overall. RC should have never let passengers on board. Expect a 2 star experience at best. Will never sail with RC again! Read on for the details. This was a repositioning trip where the ship went to dry dock for ...
