We sailed for 18 days from San Francisco to New York via the Panama Canal. Prior to the cruise we had a one day tour of Muir Woods and Sonoma, with lunch in Sonoma City - a lovely small town. As wary cruisers we wondered if we were risking too much committing to a 29 day cruise? Not a problem at all! We selected a cabin midship with no balcony and found we had plenty of options to sit quietly on deck if we chose to. We loved this cruise. My husband has Celiac Disease and they went over the top to make sure he was able to eat well. One helper in the buffet even prevented a near disaster and warned my husband not to eat something. Our waiters during dinner did a great job of taking care of us.
