Left our truck at a park/shuttle place in san diego a few miles from the port to save a little money. Arrived at the pier around noon to be met with a line that took appx 2 hours to get through. Very warm inside with the majority of passengers looking to be 60+. Could use some extra fans or coolers in the building. Once onboard the Radiance is a beautiful ship. Just the right size with plenty of ...

My lovely wife and I, and my parents, were tremendously excited about our cruise to Hawaii. We arrived at the Port of San Diego to a pretty tremendous line. It was a pretty rough embarkation, about the worst we've been through after ten cruises. We finally got on board and made our way to our lovely Grand Suite. Everything was beautiful. My parents were in a Junior Suite, and it was wonderful as ...

My husband and I have been cruising for many years, and our favorites are Holland America and Celebrity, with honorable mention for Ncl, Princess, and Carnival. This was our First Royal Caribbean cruise, and after booking the D1 category, the most expensive cruise we have ever booked. Unfortunately, I wish I could say the experience was worth the cost. To begin with, we drove from Arizona, which ...

EMBARKATION: We left on our Circle Hawaii Cruise on April 28th. When we arrived at the port, there was an area for handicapped people to wait for a wheelchair which we entered. After approximately thirty minutes we asked security when can we get a wheelchair, and were told as soon as the ship sends them out. We then walked to the check in desk and were processed in 10 minutes. We were able to ...

We had planned for this cruise for almost a year in advance and quickly joined the Cruise Critic Message Boards and found the "Pineapple Express" group. We are seasoned cruisers having sailed both Royal Caribbean and Carnival - we love both lines. This cruise was different from any other we have taken - the Cruise Critic group was a "family" before boarding -- we had so much fun! Our Meet 'n ...

We took a 14 night cruise from 5/7/06 to 5/21/06 round trip from San Diego to Hawaii on Royal Caribbean's "Radiance of the Seas." This was definitely one of the best cruises we have taken. The ship was beautiful and the food was fantastic. We loved the captain, Captain Lokling, who spent a lot of time mingling with the passengers and gave us opportunities to take pictures with him and to get ...

This was our 12th cruise with RCCL and the second time to Hawaii on the Radiance. We were part of a great Cruise Critic group named the Pineapple Express with over 90 members signed up for the Meet & Mingle. We drove in from Long Beach CA to board at San Diego. Embarkation went very good with just a short wait. The Radiance was in very good shape which is why it is our favorite ship. All of the ...
