Check in was a breeze as we were in a Neptune suite. Others complained of a disorganised shambles and taking up to 3 hours!

I did the 37 day cruise Oct 2, 2016 from San Diego to Buenos Aires on the Zaandam and have a few comments.

I came back to Holland after my experience on the Regal Princess. Holland has always been my favorite but she would be priced somewhat higher for balconies because she has fewer that other cruise lines. We found the Zaandam to be updated since our previous voyage on the ship. The rooms, services, meals and activities were all we expected.

Overall the cruise was very enjoyable, even taking into account that 4 of the ports were cancelled, 1 due to unrepaired earthquake damage to the port and 3 because of adverse weather. Holland America did arrange for visits to 3 alternative ports; however 2 of these were not very interesting.
