Embarkation at San Diego was not a problem, and we were onboard for 12.30 and had nice lunch and a couple of drinks. Got to our room for 1.30 and bags arrived soon after. Celebrity has now assigned times for check-in based on cabin location. As a result, embarkation was extremely easy. The entire process took less than thirty minutes from the time we arrived at the pier until we were in our cabin.

We had only traveled on Celebrity Solstice Class ships before, but to get through the Panama Canal had to take the Celebrity Infinity. Our experience was both great and not so great. We are on Princes Cruise lines most of the time,but our travel agent gave us a special deal on Celebrity. I won't give away the particulars but is was a special up grade. The room was a little smaller than we where use too, but it was neat and clean. We had a problem with a lumpy bed but our steward placed a foam cover and it worked perfect.

We chose this cruise because of the inclusion of the Panama Canal transit in the itinerary. For that reason alone it was worth the travel and cost. The ship is looking tired.
