What a great way for the boys to learn about other countries and modern miracles. The lectures helped us all understand a great deal about all we were able to see. The boys were pre teens and still able to enjoy the kids clubs while being old enough to enjoy some free time with all the others their age. My boys have cruise since they were 7 and 9 so know the how to get around a ship.and make ...

Constellation 1/02/11-1/15/11 San Diego-Fort Lauderdale 13 nights My husband and I traveled on the Celebrity Constellation from San Diego to Fort Lauderdale. It was our second Celebrity cruise. We have also cruised Carnival, Premier, NCL, Holland America, and most recently Royal Caribbean. I have read and learned so much on CC that I want to share our experience. Embarkation: This ...

This ship is not suitable for dancers. Music focuses on the 50's and 60's, with some 70's disco. I even heard "Macarena"- I haven't heard that in years. But they didn't have "Sex On The Beach"- too racy, I guess. The dance floor in the Rendezvous lounge is too small for ballroom. The group there tries to accommodate requests, but only has 2 mambos, 2 merengues and 2 tangos. They play 3 hours a ...

Panama Canal: Trip of a Lifetime!

We stayed onboard the Constellation to do back-to-back cruises. The first cruise was a private charter from San Diego to Hawaii for 16 glorious days. I don't like to fly, so when I saw that the Constellation was going through the canal to Miami after our charter cruise, I asked my husband if we could go. He said, yes, and we called our local travel agent to book the second cruise. We were lucky ...

Let's begin with a few words about the author. My wife and I have cruised for many years and have experienced most of the mainline cruise companies along the way. In a number of cases, we have had multiple cruises on various lines. We are experienced enough to arrange for our own tours, i.e. not sponsored by the cruise lines. We have enjoyed all of our cruising experiences and recognize that each ...

This was our first cruise, and it was a surprise for my wife's 50th birthday. She did not find out the actual itinerary until the night before at dinner in San Diego! We flew in from Sacramento the day before and stayed in the Holiday Inn On The Bay with a great view of the Constellation out our balcony window. The HAL ship Oosterdam left the berth the day before, and she looked like a bulbous tub ...

Great Cruise - An absolute must

We choose this specific cruise as a way to see some new sights and also to relax. Spent the night before the cruise at the Westin San Diego, an outstanding hotel, and around noon were picked by Celebrity and in half an hour were in our suite. We had a Concierge Class suite with a nice veranda, good size suite. We think that we took to much stuff with us and still we were able to arrange ...

We spent the night before the cruise at the Holiday Inn on the Bay. Enjoyed getting up the next morning and seeing the Connie right outside our window. Embarcation was long and slow. First time I've ever gone after 2:00 p.m. and I'll never do that again. Friends who went aboard at noon just breezed on. Our cabin was great, our stateroom attendant, Doris, was very attentive. We ate in the main ...

Almost Perfect

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

The little things that made it great: no annoying loud speaker announcements; no pesty bar wait staff; no pesty photographs. If I wanted a drink or a photo, I could easily get it. But nobody was "in my face" trying to sell me anything. The little things that made it less than perfect: the order of the meals in the dining room. I loved the food, but I didn't want lamb two nights in a row (even ...

This was our second cruise on the Constellation, the last being in the Baltic in 2008. That experience was very good, this one was even better in many respects. Delightful and friendly staff, mostly good service, good to very good food. Ship was showing a bit of age, but was well-maintained. Given the enticing fares these days, a great value. The only real disappointment for us was the conduct of ...
