Absolutely fantastic!! We love HAL. Everything was exceptional - organized embarkation was very fast, ports of call were great, service was exceptional, all activities and meals were all fantastic, and we can't say enough great things about the exceptional staff. Can't think of enough stellar words to describe all the great things about HAL. Just booked our next cruise on HAL!!

I live in San Diego and have dear friends in Victoria, so it seemed like a no-brainer to take advantage of the great price for this short cruise to Vancouver. I also took it as an opportunity to see how I'd fare in the cheapest inside cabin... looking ahead to when I can't find any friends to share and may only be able to afford windowless real estate onboard. As I noticed the prices going down, I ...
The Missus and I booked a quickie on the Millennium from San Diego to Vancouver for a number of reasons.
First, there aren't that many short West Coast cruises anymore.
Second, it was an easy way to achieve Elite status on Celebrity.
Third, it was a way to experience Aqua Class, on the cheap, in a newly "Solsticized" Millennium-class ship. We were originally booked for Concierge ...
Prior to this cruise I did my homework if you will as much as possible prior to sailing for this being a first time cruise by catching up on reviews and as much information as possible from this site. As a first time cruiser I was not disappointed.
We went into this with a fairly open mind as first time cruisers as to what to expect and were not at all disappointed. Also, it should be noted the ...
Embarkation at SD was delayed due to a death during the preceding cruise. Celebrity did it's best to make us comfy but it's an old, un air conditioned terminal. An annoying thing was that when we arrived by taxi from the airport, a porter rushed to pull our luggage from the taxi. He then moved it about 10 feet to a line where we needed to show our documentation. The porter, of course expected his ...
This was our introduction to cruising, and we booked through a local Pacific NW travel agency. The deal seemed pretty good: about $1000 for two of us, including airfare from Seattle to San Diego, transfers from the airport to the pier, an upgraded stateroom with a veranda, and a chartered bus back from Vancouver to Seattle at the end of the trip.
Check-in at the pier was completely painless. We ...
Four first time cruisers here. We chose the Elation because we all live in San Diego and we received a great rate, we are best friends and all could get this time off at work. This was a 5 day cruise with stops in Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada Mexico. Embarkation was fairly easy, we arrived around 1:30 and were on the ship within an hour. We all had checked in bags and had heard horror stories of ...
Background on us: Family of 4 traveling - 2 adults (30's) and 2 children (ages 1 and 4). This was my husband and my 5th cruise (previously one Renaissance, one Princess, 2 RCCL), my older child's 3rd cruise (previously one Princess, 1 RCCL) and my son's first cruise.
Pre-cruise, we stayed at the Omni San Diego (won on Priceline) and post cruise we spent one night at the Westin Grand in Vancouver ...
SERENADE OF THE SEAS, PACIFIC COASTAL CRUISE, MAY 21 - MAY 28, 2006
OVERVIEW
This was another great cruise vacation. I went with my wife, our 5 year-old son, our two good friends, and their 7 year-old son. We all had a great time. The cruise was a 7-day Pacific Coastal repositioning cruise, starting in San Diego and ending in Vancouver. We picked this cruise because it gave us a chance to go ...
Review - Panama Canal - Celebrity Infinity - December 7-21, 2003
Dec 6 - San Antonio to San Diego - Flew to San Diego a day early in case there were flight delays or other problems plus we wanted to embark as early as possible the day of sailing. Due to a large convention in San Diego, we could not find a room at a hotel downtown or near cruise terminal. We ended up at the Hampton Inn on ...
